STaR empowers children with disabilities and/or special learning needs, and those who support them, through research-based education.

I saw first hand how STaR operates and the fantastic results they achieve. My daughter, Angelique, was born with a rare genetic condition and has a significant developmental delay. Her first two years in childcare say her isolated and excluded from daily activities - not because the centre didn't care, but because they didn't know how to deal with her and include her in regular activities. 

STaR made an incredible difference and continues to do so, as Angelique benefits from a tailored literacy program from STaR which is delivered during her normal school learning in a mainstream public school. 

I'm delighted to be a Non Executive Director for this outstanding charity who truly do change lives.

Pop In

In 2021, I was asked to join a grassroots community initiative to help women and children in the Southern Highlands experiencing domestic violence. What surprised me was the common misunderstanding that the term 'domestic violence' does not only mean physical violence - and it's rife. 

Pop In is tackling the significant and neglected problem of domestic violence, control and abuse in the Southern Highlands. It's a friendly drop-in and online service that empowers women and children to solve these problems and regain control in their lives. 

Guided by an experienced board, this ‘best practice’ service is both preventative and restorative, using professional expertise and community support to break the cycle and find pathways to give these women and children a meaningful future.

I'm honoured to be a part of this empowering Board of impressive can-do community members. Banter Group is a pro-bono partner for the delivery of all marketing support across fundraising, website support, designed collateral, marketing strategy, social media management and everything in between.

I have worked with ADMA since 2008 as an Instructor and in 2010 took on the Lead Digital Instructor role. I was responsible for content creation, course delivery for both classroom and online courses within the digital space. Courses that I deliver include the Digital Marketing Certificate, Digital Essentials, Digital Analytics and Email Marketing.

Using my strategic planning and leadership capabilities, I developed a Professional Capabilities Standard framework to assess marketer's skills from entry level through to proficiency level.  This included the criteria and assessment framework for Accreditation. 

This involves understanding and mapping the depth of skills required to fulfil the requirements of all job roles across:

- digital marketing
- data-driven marketing and advertising
- content marketing
- creativity 
- marketing analytics

For seven years, I led Banter Group, a full-service marketing agency I founded, helping hundreds of businesses with digital, creative, and strategic marketing—always with a people-first mindset. Running an agency gave me deep insight into the evolving needs of businesses, the pressure points of modern marketing, and the leadership it takes to steer teams and clients towards meaningful outcomes.

Now, I’m using that experience to support organisations in a new way—working as a fractional Chief Marketing Officer. I step into businesses that need marketing leadership but aren’t ready (or don’t need) a full-time CMO. I help set strategy, mentor teams, and bring clarity and confidence to marketing decisions.

I volunteer my time as a board member of STaR Ltd, a cause close to my heart. As the parent of a child with special needs, I’m passionate about creating more inclusive opportunities and a meaningful life. STaR’s work in early intervention and education for children with disabilities is something I’m proud to contribute to.

I’ve been training, presenting, and facilitating digital marketing education, training and workshops since 2008 — and still love sharing knowledge and empowering others.
