When drones became more accessible to consumers, I wanted to get involved and make epic videos. I co-founded an Amsterdam based drone company called Flying Mikes where we shot aerial videos and photos. Our work was included in films made for Emirates, Boeing, MoFilms, France TV and featured in many blogs focused on The Netherlands. I was responsible for managing the drone camera and our client relationships.

I rejoined Wakoopa (previously an intern) to lead the international business development outside the Benelux region and Germany. I pitched and presented the company's web tracking technology to CEOs and Directors of market research firms. Also, I worked with the directors to build business cases and close deals. My best-committed deal resulted in the largest single deal of the company while I was employed.

I supported our directors to find, educate, and strengthen relationships with existing clients and prospects. I did a lot of cold calling, emailing and analyzing our clients and prospects to find unique ways to grab their attention. A great accomplishment of mine was developing a scalable method to provide personalized slide decks to prospect and show that we did our background research. This helped significantly with our lead generation. I also did research on social media and self-service to develop new ways to integrate the company’s technology around the web.

While the company was developing its social network, they needed to develop ways to monetize their platform. I pitched the CEO whom was featured in Business Week, that I needed an internship to complete my Master's degree and that I would help the company get people to pay for advertising on their platform. It worked. Prior to leaving, I ended up tripling the monthly advertising revenue on the platform by switching from Google Adsense to direct advertising sales.
