Responsible for managing a large IT team that provides advanced technology services and support to the Georgetown faculty and staff in the Main Campus and University Services communities. Coordinates, schedules and maintains satisfactory customer support services that include but are not limited to, Desktop support, Mobile support, Phone support, Remote Support & more. Responsible for the imaging,  maintenance, inventory, packaging and upgrades for all Mac OSX platforms across the entire campus; for faculty and staff in an effort to standardize our Mac platforms. Organizing and maintaining all 17 remote locations in terms of IT needs, ordering supplies and configuring remote locations through on site visits or through contracted help. As a software engineer at Opogy, I play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative software solutions that address complex challenges across various industries. My work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, architect scalable systems, and deliver high-quality code that meets our clients' needs.

One of the key aspects of my role is leveraging my expertise in a wide range of technologies, including JavaScript, React, Redux, Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Express, and Sequelize. I work on both the front-end and back-end of web applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across the entire software stack.

In addition to coding, I am actively involved in software architecture design, database management, and system optimization. I apply best practices in software development, such as agile methodologies, version control systems like Git, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Docker and AWS.

My role also extends to client interactions, where I engage in requirement gathering, project planning, and regular updates to ensure alignment with client expectations and project milestones. I prioritize user experience and usability, constantly iterating on designs and functionalities to deliver intuitive and engaging digital experiences for our clients.

I am also actively involved in business development and client relationships. I engage with potential clients to understand their needs, present our solutions, negotiate contracts, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. In this role, I directed production, maintenance, and quality assurance processes to ensure all procedures were completed in compliance with company protocol and policy. I monitored equipment and instrument calibrations in the Quality Control lab and the chemical plant. I conducted annual reviews of industry requirements and successfully acquired the company HACCP certificate. I drove sales growth from Coca-Cola and PepsiCo Bottlers by leading the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS), the Food Safety System (FSS), and Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP).
Key Contributions: 
~ Established company as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo global supplier of liquid carbon dioxide by directing Quality Control Lab to strictly adhere to International Standardization of Beverage Technologists (ISBT) protocol. 
~ Implemented more efficient water purification system, leading to roughly $150K-$200K in annual savings. 
~ Expertly programmed adjustments to gas dryers, absorbers, refrigeration units, compressors, and distillation unit liquid flows, generating 5% increase in overall plant efficiency and significantly reducing energy costs.
~ Spearheaded initiative switching CO2 plant from heavy fuel to diesel fuel, saving about $200K annually. 
~ Oversaw project completing electrical and mechanical installation of $2M liquid carbon dioxide production plant in collaboration with Danish engineering company.
~ Cut yearly costs by roughly $30K-$40K by changing caustic chemical dosing.

My expertise covers a wide range of technologies, including JS, React, Redux, Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Express, and Sequelize. I enjoy working on both the front-end and back-end of web applications, as well as designing and deploying software architecture and databases. I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new technologies that can enhance the quality and performance of my projects.

Before becoming a software engineer, I was a chemical engineer for 10 years, where I gained valuable experience in managing production, quality, and safety processes for a leading supplier of liquid carbon dioxide. This background has taught me the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and pursuing one's true passion. I am excited to continue growing as a software engineer and founder, and to contribute to the ever-evolving world of technology.

During my tenure at Opogy, I have led teams in developing cutting-edge solutions for our clients, optimizing workflows, and implementing best practices in software development. My role involves not just coding but also strategic planning, client communication, and project management, ensuring that our solutions meet both technical requirements and business objectives.
