Did you know most business owners/leaders lose about 5-6 hours per week because of decision fatigue?

(Yup, same.)

You’re always thinking about what to do first:

→ the invoices & taxes

→ outreach & follow-ups

→ booking calls & sending proposals…

(that’s on top of the actual client work 🙃)

And that’s what was so illuminating when Intuit QuickBooks spoke about “The Growth Gap” – how we’re not reaching our full potential because we’re lacking the right tools.

This is where AI comes in with Intuit’s new swanky platform to bridge that gap.

Using AI isn’t a cop-out or doomsday. 

It’s how we can make more effective, faster decisions without the constant back-and-forth, or procrastinating and then losing opportunities.

We need our handy helpers to give us precious time back.

Time to do more of what we love (and less of what we secretly hate).

So as someone who practises & preaches living and working in alignment, this has my vote!

“38% already save 5 to 8 hours/week (a full working day) via automation” according to this report.

We want to track that all in one place, to give us more control as well as take away the overwhelm to feel more ON IT.

I’m veryyyy excited to start using this in my day-to-day.

Not fear it anymore, but see this as a way to focus on my strengths and put my energy into all the right stuff.

You know it’s gonna be a FAB day when Intuit QuickBooks hosts an event at the Tate Modern.

An absolutely fantastic panel with Leigh Thomas, Dom Hallas, Russell Frayne, Max Klymenko & Emma Marsh.

This discussion really put a fresh perspective on using AI rather than the “it’s going to take over the world!!” rhetoric.

I’ve always been this person that thinks “hmm, I don’t need that” until I heard that most leaders:

→ lose 5-6 hours per week due to decision fatigue

→ miss 25-50% of opportunities and clients due to lack of resources

It made me think… “jheez, what have I missed out on because I didn’t have the time or capacity?” (Or sanity, for real.)

You almost feel like AI (or any automation tool really) is for the “big dogs” in biz - but there are actually over 5.49 million SMBs in the UK today.

So now more than ever, it’s about embedding these tools into our day-to-day to make life and business a bit easier.

In fact, according to The Growth Gap report “80% say AI improves delegation while maintaining control.”

Gimmeee some of that!

I also got a cheeky demo of their new “AI agents” which will help track and monitor everything from finding leads to managing finances (literally my worst nightmare).

And of course, ending with a glass (or two) of prosecco and some mouth-watering canapés (still thinking about those crab croutons tbh).

Imposter Syndrome isn’t real.

(According to Leila Hormozi.)

And actually, I think she’s right.

Imposter Syndrome is simply an expression that you don’t know, or have little confidence, in the skill you’re building…

Once you do something once, twice - again and again - you continuously build the competence towards your confidence.

It feels less scary or overwhelming the more you practise.

Managing it is easier when you have awareness around why you might feel (overly) self-critical.

What you do need to do is:

- learn what is fact vs. thought

- be aware of a knowledge/skills gap

- acknowledge your strengths and wins

- manage the perfectionism/overthinking traits

FYI I personify imposer syndrome as that protective BFF - she’s got your best interests at heart but is sometimes a bit TOO abrasive.

And once you have these tools, you’ll be able to confidently:

- charge your worth / increase your prices

- pitch yourself to clients more authentically

- share what you bring to the table

- be authentically you!
