As a generalist fund investing $200,000 to $1M in a wide range of early- to mid-stage companies.

At the fund I consulted for other VC funds or companies, helping to do in-depth analysis on investments. This includes doing detailed research into the respective markets of each company, the management team, and service/product offered.     

On average teams of five people analyze investment potential of different companies, if the investment passes the qualificaitons of the team, they are then pitched by the team, first to fellow associates, then if passed, to an Investment Committee

Over a decade ago I walked into a small, unknown company. 

"We need someone who can just help us make more money. It'll be you and some engineers. Go ship whatever will make us more money. A/B tests, new features, paywalls, whatever. Just find money in the business."

I found out later, much later, that bets were placed around the company. Nobody bet we'd still be a team by the end of that year (it was February).

Well, we had a goal of $1M of cash to the business that year. A >20% increase in revenue...

We did that in the first quarter. From there, the rest is history.

Six years later, that business was well past $100M in ARR and I was about leave for my next startup adventure.

I am responsible for software, systems, processes and data for all the revenue-generating teams at Lucidpress. In other words, I have the privilege of working closely with our Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams to remove any barriers and accelerate our growth.

In this role, I spearheaded the evaluation and implementation of a full stack HubSpot CRM. Lucidpress was acquired by a private equity firm and had 90 days to migrate off a very complex tech stack. I worked with our team to migrate our data and processes from Salesforce, Marketo, Outreach, Workato, Chorus, and Zendesk to Hubspot Sales, Marketing, and Service Hub. 

This move to HubSpot resulted in a 50% reduction in technology costs and allowed Lucidpress to administrate its new system with partial focus from just 3 people vs. a team of 8 FTE to administrate the previous tech stack. Although technology and manpower costs were significant, the biggest benefit has been the speed in which Lucidpress can build, optimize, and scale their processes. What would take 2-3 weeks in our previous tech stack can be implemented in a matter of hours with HubSpot.

I was the marketing and sales swiss army knife at BROWZ. I administered all marketing and sales tools for the company and was the go-to-person for anything sales/marketing.

Worked as a manager and contributor on a small team with hands in every aspect of the funnel from marketing to sales. Increased inbound demos by 141% year over year. Helped the BDR (Business Development Rep)/inside sales team achieve 138% more held appointments year over year with a 50% reduction in BDR reps. 

I focused on raising brand awareness through strategic initiatives, generating demand for our solution, nurturing revenue-generating leads, and replicating successful marketing strategies internationally. I both implemented and managed inbound marketing initiatives, content creation, webinars, social media, and tradeshows.

By maximizing the power and insight of our marketing automation tool, Pardot, I learned what worked and what didn't. From there, we were able to replicate success. I focused on automating processes and developed a highly-intelligent email nurturing drip program that recognized the stage of the buyer and served up content appropriately. During the first few months of running the drip program, it paid dividends by converting an old prospect to a customer in one of the fastest sales cycles the company had seen. 

During this time, it became apparent we needed to bridge the gap between Marketing and Outside sales and we developed a BDR team. I became a power user and admin of Salesforce CRM and a certified InsideSales admin to design and implement an efficient sales process for this new team. Over the course of the year we took a brand-new team of BDRs and enabled them to generate over 70% of all opportunities for the company.

I was the first marketing hire at BROWZ. It was just the VP of Operations/Marketing and me. Together we developed the marketing program from the ground up. The first step was establishing the brand from a visual, messaging stand point. I worked tirelessly to build a brand guide and design collateral to provide a foundation for the company. From there, we focused on pinpointing our target audience and creating content that spoke to the pain points of the prospects. I was integral to building out our marketing automation tool, Pardot, as the engine for all marketing campaigns and to attract, nurture, and drive leads to the sales team.

I am so proud to have led and mentored youth at my time with SMCC. I am still seeing the fruit of my labor through the lives that I impacted and those that impacted me. As a Youth Coordinator for South Mountain Community Church in Draper, UT, I developed programs for over 100 middle school-aged youth and parents.
