Josh Norris is a strategic leader in capital-efficient GTM design and post-raise execution for high-growth SaaS companies. He partners with founders and CFOs to ensure new capital converts into predictable, investor-grade revenue systems rather than uncontrolled burn.

He has advised 60+ Series A-D startups, helping teams eliminate burn drift, professionalize reporting, and build GTM infrastructure that supports follow-on funding. His work has contributed to multiple clients reaching seven-figure ARR within their first year and advancing to subsequent rounds.

Josh previously led GTM, revops, partnerships, and business development at Hyperbound, scaling from zero to $5M ARR in under two years, and at Lavender during the 2022 downturn. He also managed a 36-engineer organization at a publicly traded SaaS company, giving him a rare systems-level perspective on how revenue, product, and capital deployment align.

Big congrats to Rémi Delaporte-Mathurin and James Dark for completing their NSF I-corps program, a key milestone of the Pathways to enable Open Source Ecosystems (POSE) grant they received for the FESTIM project. 

I've been blown away by the level of talent in this program. Watching some of the smartest thinkers on the planet producing some of the coolest software on the market... and then giving it away for FREE, is not only inspiring but is advancing scientific discovery.

Huge shout out to our coach, David Charron, and the entire National Science Foundation (NSF) for running such an incredible program. 

Looking forward to celebrating with the team in Munich next week at OSSFE!

Hard to describe just how special this week was for the fusion community. In a world that constantly feels so divided, the open source science community is pushing back.

These are some of the smartest, hardest working scientists on the planet. And in their free time they’re taking the codes and tools they’ve developed for their own research and are giving it away for free.

But they’re not just giving it away for free, they’re creating an entire ecosystem to support their software so that future researchers can pick up where they left off.

THAT is something to be inspired by. 

In fusion research, the challenges are too large and too complex for one company or lab to figure out on their own. Creating a common toolset for scientists to get the answers they need to design the best systems possible to bring fusion energy to the grid faster, more reliably and more affordably. 

And the motive behind the researchers doing this work?

To advance science.

To create a better world.

To fight for our future generations.

This conference was 100% grassroots, 100% community lead, and one of the best conferences I’ve ever been to.

The value of software companies is no longer their ability to write and ship quality code quickly, but in their branding, IP and go-to-market strategies. 

Otherwise isn’t it fair to say that many of the legacy software platforms should have faced stiffer competition from “India-based companies who have had the ability to create and market enterprise class software for decades… at scale”.

Still hard to imagine enterprise-grade customers moving to tools (internally or externally) that Dave vibe-coded over the weekend. 

People want to work with companies that are trusted, proven players in their specific industry. Ones with HUMAN onboarding and dedicated support. This way they can focus on executing their business strategy, not managing a fleet of tools that distract them from their core mission.
