This allowed me to create Pando Partners, a holding company where I can do what I truly love, which is to start businesses, see them succeed, and see individuals learn and grow within those businesses as they maximize their potential. Right now, my primary project is MWI, the marketing agency I started in 1999. I recently bought out my partners there after 10 years and find myself back in the driver seat. This position is open to U.S.-based candidates only. 

The role is dedicated to a single client, a psychiatric hospital group with over a dozen locations. Each location is a separate client, with a separate contact, but they all do the same things. 

This matters: You've done actual digital marketing work. SEO, paid search, web development, social, something hands-on. You know what the work requires because you've done it. 

Must have: We don't wait for clients to ask us for things. The right AM builds a plan, drives it forward, and makes the client feel like everything is always in motion. If your default is to wait for direction, this is not the right fit.

Nice to have: Experience in healthcare, psychiatric, or related space. Account management for multi-location clients. Marketing agency background.

What you will do: Serve as the primary client contact. Manage projects and timelines across SEO, PPC, dev, and social teams. Own reporting, QA, and client communication. Build plans with the client and execute them.

Working at MWI: Remote (work from home). 4-day work week, Mon-Thu. 10 days paid vacation, plus all the normal holidays, plus Dec 24-Jan 01. We work hard but we're also super flexible. 401K matching. Jason Alba and I have been talking about business books lately, recording conversations for his new HR platform, and he keeps asking the same question: how do you help your team actually implement what these books teach?

Every time he asks, I try to come up with something clever. I always land on the same answer. Just talk to them.

We spend enormous time on employee manuals, training programs, and presentations when a 15-minute conversation might accomplish more. And we'd probably learn as much as we'd teach.

This morning I got a newsletter from 📈Ben Ward about being passionate about your team members' goals, not your own. I realized I had only a vague idea of what most of my team members actually want. So I sent each of them a quick, individualized email asking about their goals. About a minute apiece to write.
Worst case, nothing changes but they know I care. Best case, what I learn shifts how I run things.

Some questions worth sitting with:

- How well do I actually know my team members? 
- What are their goals, and do they align with where we're headed? 
- How motivated are they to achieve what we're working toward?

Only you can find the answers to those. But "how beneficial would it be to know?" and "how do I find out?" are easy: very, and just ask them.

Synpulse is an international management consulting company and valued partner of many of the world’s largest financial services providers. Since 1996, Synpulse has been supporting banks and insurers along the entire value chain; from the development of strategies and their operative realization, to technical implementation and hand-over.

In my role at Synpulse I helped banks and investment managers analyze their product offerings better - from deep risk analytics frameworks including variance and tail risk across the product portfolio, to credit and margin offerings. In the role I drove efforts from framework design to business process implementation in order to service the world's most complex personal investment portfolios.

Areas of responsibility at Synpulse:
 - Lead for the Investment Lending & Credit practice in Asia
 - Lead for Taiwan market entry.
 - Asset Management industry lead in Hong Kong.

Projects included supporting an upgrade of credit systems in a bank, enabling said bank to offer credit functions on their digital client investment platform. I also led the data and risk analytics work on a large analytics platform integration for a private bank front office systems upgrade, and advised multiple private banks on front office systems implementation and core banking platform change for securities and derivatives End-to-End Processing.

Kuchi Inc. is a Taiwanese startup developing a platform for automating and personalizing financial advise.

My role was to drive international growth, represent the company to international investors and partners, manage the company's finances and capital raising, as well as contributing to product development (quantitative finance products and strategic portfolios for HNWI and margin trading offerings delivered in partnership with banks) and branding. I successfully led the project to bring Kuchi into the Startupbootcamp Fintech accelerator as one of the top 10 companies from over 350 applications and secure S$25,000 in seed funding.
