Be Broadcast is a specialist broadcast PR consultancy. This means we'll get you on TV and Radio. 

To get there, we’ll get under the skin of your brand and build a campaign which fits both key messaging and the key factors broadcasters will need.

Our USP is Senior Delivery and Senior Consultancy.

Put simply this means the person you deal with will be the person who also deals with media. All too often in this sector, things are lost in translation as they are handed over.

We also limit the number of campaign launches to one per week – meaning that your story is not competing internally at Be Broadcast with other clients or campaigns. It also means that your key moment has the entire focus and attention it deserves.

The consultancy is led by Josh Wheeler who has 10 years of experience in broadcast PR (with a further five in traditional PR). His award-winning work spans some of the leading broadcast consultancies in the UK – he is now aiming to reshape the way we look at broadcast PR.

Editor (Acting)

Developed, managed and evaluated the overarching PR strategy for the G4S Care and Justice Services, which incorporated nine businesses employing 14,000 people. My aims were to increase public confidence in the business which is run on behalf of the Ministry of Justice as well as having an engaged workforce.

Achievements:
o   Developed and implemented the PR strategy for mobilisation of the new prison HMP Oakwood. As England’s largest prison this was an engineering achievement and the PR plan incorporated working with the trade press for the construction industry.
o   PR on the change programme when HMP Birmingham became privatised. Wrote the PR plans for government bids which resulted in G4S becoming the preferred bidder: TIPIMS (satellite tracking of suspected terrorists) and the Electronic Monitoring of offenders in Scotland.
o   Trainer and assessor for Glowinkowski Behavioural Management for all senior G4S managers.
o   Achieved Investor in Diversity, Customer Service Excellence and Investor Excellence – led on communications strategy.
o   Established and implemented an internal communications strategy which included an award winning internal magazine, a reward recognition programme and an annual staff engagement survey for 10,000 plus employees.
o   My “incident reporting procedures” model adopted by Ministry of Justice for all contract holders i.e. SERCO, Capita and Mite.
o   Developed and implemented a communications strategy during an IT change management programme over a period of 24 months.
o   Key spokesperson and Communications lead during media crisis; including being subject of an undercover journalist (four occasions) and during the demobilisation of the court contracts.
o   Developed a CSR programme in partnership with Brathay. The employees had the opportunity to become mentors for “at risk” young people. The programme had a link in with G4S Kenya and a visit to provide service in an African village.

Responsible for managing the PR for GMG businesses’ in the North West. Included the Manchester Evening News, 25 regional's newspapers, City Life Magazine, Manchester Online and Channel MTV. Spearheaded fundraising and publicity effort for the Kirsty Appeal in aid of Francis House Children's Hospice. Launched the MEN readers lunch and business club. Provided crisis comms during the strikes of 2005.

Her scope of experience covers the full range of corporate communications including both internal and external PR, public affairs, change management, crisis communications, media relations, press office, sales materials, CSR and bid writing; as well as news reporting and investigative journalism.
