How to write 10x better LinkedIn posts.

Most people focus on the wrong thing.

They obsess over hooks.
Character counts.
Templates.

But the posts that actually work? They do something different.

They move people from one emotion to another.

Let me show you what I mean.

Every post needs two emotions:

→ Emotional state

→ Target emotion

Here's how it works:

1/ Emotional state:

This is how your reader feels RIGHT NOW, before they read your post.

Think about it.

Your reader isn't neutral. They're frustrated. Stuck. Overwhelmed. Confused.

They're scrolling because something isn't working.

If you're writing about cold emails, they're annoyed their outreach gets ignored.

If you're writing about content, they're tired of posting with no results.

If you're writing about systems, they're drowning in chaos.

That's their emotional state.

You need to know this before you write a single word.

2/ Target emotion:

This is how you want them to feel AFTER reading your post.

Hopeful. Clarity. Relieved. Energized.

Like they finally understand what's been holding them back.

Like there's a clear path forward.

Like the problem they've been carrying isn't as impossible as they thought.

That's your target emotion.

Here's what you're actually doing:

You're creating a gap.

On one side: where they are now (frustrated, stuck, lost).

On the other side: where they want to be (clear, confident, moving forward).

And your post? It's the bridge.

Your insight. Your story. Your solution. Your offer.

Whatever you're sharing, it moves them across that gap.

But here's the key:

You can't just say "do this thing and you'll feel better."

You need to back it up with logic.
You need to explain WHY it works.

You need to show them the path so clearly that taking action feels obvious.

When you do this right, conversion isn't hard.

Because you're not asking them to buy something or believe something.

You're just showing them how to get from where they are to where they want to be.

So before you write your next post, ask yourself:

What emotion is my reader feeling right now?

What emotion do I want them to feel after reading this?

And how do I build the bridge between the two?

Answer those three questions, and your posts will hit different.

Fix your LinkedIn DMs 

How to stay consistent on LinkedIn.

This method helped me stay consistent for 2 years and counting.

Let me break it down:

1. Define what consistency means to you

Consistency can be posting 5 times per week.
It can also be posting 2 times per week.

Define what works for YOUR schedule and capacity, NOT what works for others.

2. Treat LinkedIn as a growth tool, not a hack tool

If you expect high ROI in week 1 & don't get it, you'll quit.
Give yourself time. Work on strategy, not shortcuts.
Long-term thinking beats quick fixes every time.

3. Find an accountability partner or group

This is the best one.

Have a person or a team posting alongside you. Same goals. Same rhythm.

Even on bad days, when you see them working, you'll find yourself doing the same.

Accountability turns intention into action.

Plus:

Consistency ≠ speed.

It means moving toward your goals, even if it's slow.

I was 100% wrong about remote work.

For 2 years I defended it. I said it was the future.

But numbers don't lie. And my numbers just humbled me.

Here is what happened:

For the last 90 days, Mohamed and I ran an accidental experiment.

We worked from the same apartment.
Same desk. Shoulder to shoulder.

We didn't change our strategy.
We didn't work longer hours.
We just removed the distance.

The result? We finished 6 months of work in 3 months.

I literally double-checked the timeline because I couldn't believe it.

And once I felt that speed, I realized why remote feels so slow.

It’s the "Latency Tax."

Remote Work:

I have an idea → I type it out (5 mins) → I wait for a reply (2 hours) → We schedule a call to discuss (next day) → We finally decide.

Total time: 24 hours.

In-Person:

I have an idea → I turn my head → "Yo, thoughts on this?" → "Let's do it."

Total time: 2 minutes.

That’s it. That’s the difference.

When you are remote, you spend 50% of your energy just trying to communicate.

When you are in person, 100% of your energy goes into the work.

I still love the freedom of remote.
I love that I can hire anyone, anywhere.

But I’m done pretending that Zoom calls can replace the energy of a real room.

Remote gives you Freedom. In-person gives you Momentum.

This engagement mistake will limit your reach.

(And you're probably doing it)

I'm talking about the "two-word" reply to comments on your post:

→ Well said.
→ Great point.
→ 100%

I've done it. You've done it. We're all guilty of it 😅

But here's why you should stop.

When someone leaves a comment on your post, and you reply in 10 seconds without thinking... just to reply.

You're actually telling the algorithm (and the commenter) two things:

☑️ Your post is not valuable. 

LinkedIn watches for back-and-forth conversation.

The more quality engagement you receive AND give, the more the algo pushes your posts.

Generic replies kill that momentum.

☑️ The commenter feels unimportant.

They took 2 minutes to leave a thoughtful comment.

You gave them 2 seconds and two words.

Next time? They won't comment. You lost them.

Which means LinkedIn stops pushing your post because it thinks it doesn't drive real engagement.

So here's what to do instead:

→ Reply with thoughtful comments (acknowledge their specific point)
→ Ask questions to drive more conversation
→ Respect your audience's effort

It's from analyzing my own posts and the people we work with.

So it's not 100% proven.

How I find new clients on LinkedIn.

Most people try to find clients by:

- Posting content and hoping someone reaches out
- Cold messaging random people in their niche
- Guessing who might need their service

That's exhausting. And it doesn't work consistently.

Here's what I do instead:

I use my best clients to find more clients exactly like them.

Here's the process:

1 - Analyze your best clients

Look at your top 3-5 clients. The ones who:

• Pay on time
• Get great results
• Are easy to work with

Write down what they have in common:

• Problems they had before hiring you
• Company size
• Industry
• Job title

2 - Find more of them

Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator or lookalike audience tools.

Plug in those characteristics.

Now you have a list of people who look exactly like your best clients.

3 - Reach out with context

Don't send generic messages.

Reference something specific about them or their company.

Show you actually looked at their profile.

Make it relevant to their situation.

Why this works:

You're not chasing everyone.
You're finding people who already fit.

They have the same problems & needs.

It's like fishing where you know the fish are.

Stop guessing who your client is.
Use the ones you already have to find more.

P.S. If you don't have clients yet, analyze who you WANT to work with. Find 3-5 dream clients on LinkedIn and reverse-engineer what they have in common. Start there.

How I handle objections in my LinkedIn DMs.

Most people panic when they get pushback.

They either:

- Over-explain and sound desperate
- Get defensive and kill the conversation
- Give up and move on

Don't do that.

Here's what works:

1 → Acknowledge it

Don't ignore the objection or pretend it's not valid.

Say: "Yeah, I get that. A lot of people feel the same way at first."

This shows you're listening, not just selling.

2 → Ask why

Most objections are surface-level.

"It's too expensive" usually means "I don't see the value yet."

"I don't have time" usually means "This isn't a priority for me."

Ask: "What's making you feel that way?"

Now you're having a real conversation.

3 → Share proof

Don't argue. Show them.

"We had a client say the same thing. Here's what happened after they tried it."

Real examples beat explanations every time.

4 → Give them an out

If they're not ready, don't push.

Say: "No worries. If things change, let me know."

This keeps the door open without being annoying.

The key:

Objections aren't rejections. They're questions.

Answer them like a human, not a salesperson.

The #1 thing leads want from your LinkedIn posts.

It's NOT:

→ Your offer.
→ How amazing you are.
→ How smart your copy is.

They're simply looking for:

One clear idea they can actually use.

One thing they can apply today and see a result tomorrow.

Complexity impresses peers.
Simplicity converts leads.

So here's how to do it:

1/ Pick ONE micro-problem your audience has.

Not "how to get more clients" , that's too big.

But "what to say in a discovery call when they ask about pricing" , that's specific.

2/ Give them the exact solution (not theory).

Don't say "handle objections better."

Say "When they say 'it's too expensive,' respond with: 'Compared to what?' Then stay silent. Let them talk."

3/ Show them the before/after.

Bad approach: Immediately defending your price and explaining features

Good approach: Asking one question and listening, they often realize it's not actually expensive

Now they see the difference. Now they can copy it.

That's it.

One problem.
One solution.
One example.

When your post gives people a quick win, they come back for more.

And when they need serious help?

They remember who gave them clarity.

So next time you write a post, ask yourself:

"Can someone read this and take action in 5 minutes?"

If not, simplify it.
