Here is a sample breakdown of two projects we have handled:

1:

The client is in the life science industry. We built a software development team from scratch. The software solution helped the company to run and document clinical trials. We acted as an outsourcing partner.

The company was later acquired by Medidata. And later, Medidata was acquired by Dassault Systeme. The team continued to operate and grow to 15-17 developers, testers, DevOps engineers. This partnership lasted for 6 years.

2:

Built a development outsourced team to work on one of the first file-sharing and collaboration platforms in 2005 (like Dropbox or Google Drive). The solution was focused on enterprise customers. They used it for file sharing and backup. It was scaled to 170.000 paying customers. The company was later sold to Autotask and later to Datto.

As an outsourcing partner, we scaled the team to 15-20 developers and testers. Responsible for the application development, testing, hiring developers, and managing day-to-day operations of the development team. We constantly communicate with partners in Denmark and the US. This partnership is still ongoing since its inception in 2005.

Program level design lead, overseeing technical interdependencies among numerous, multi-stage projects, with an overall budget exceeding $10 million over a four year period.

• Provided governance and oversight to a team of several dozen designers and developers, to ensure the overall quality of development activities and artifacts within various projects, across multiple systems and technologies.   Assessed and advised on the practicality of design/development strategies and alternatives.

• Acted as the single point of contact representing the technical, design, and development aspects of the program to the organization at large, including the project management teams, and operations teams with regard to project engagement and transition.

• Anticipated complications that arose due to the program’s interaction with other projects affecting the same applications or overlapping resources.

Contractor hired to add new individual investment products to a pre-existing PIP wealth-management administration system. Project used a component-based approach to allow the immediate selling of new products. Initial components delivered basic administration functions, while later components delivered more complex functionality and reporting abilities.

* Primarily focused on the coding and testing changes to PIP Segregated Fund valuation processing including new processing to calculate and extract information from the PIP system for the Actuarial division.

* Handled UAT support for the valuation process.

* Created JCL code as required and maintained warranty support for the initial period for each change.

* As a Subject Matter Expert, consulted in the creation of high-level estimates for future Seg Fund Valuation changes, including all regulatory requirements.

* Used past experience with the PIP system to assist teammates with reporting changes, policy communications, statements, and changes to withdrawal processes.

* Contractor hired to assist in the replacing of a legacy system with an Oracle and UNIX based system,
   and the conversion of existing data.

* Technical Lead for the automation of the regular and ongoing conversion procedures.

* Advised on the process and creation of system and business continuity procedures, disaster recovery plan, privacy
   requirements, and balancing converted data results with the initial data source.

* Conducted knowledge transfer efforts to both technical and business partners, and created "Conversion 101"
   information sessions for management.

* Created JCL code as required and maintained warranty support for the initial period.
 
* Wrote, reviewed, and edited operational documentation and conversion reference manual, while following the
   previously established implementation criteria.

Canada Life Assurance Company Ltd

* Served as Doc1 document specialist for account statement creation and maintenance, in multiple languages, for
  multiple product lines.  This included the creation of Trust, International, and Individual client statements. 

* Trained the IT staff on Doc1 statement implementation and supervised software revisions.  This occasionally
   required the rewriting of source code.

* Created statements for the London Life division after the acquisition of Canada Life by Great-West Life; these 
   new statements were modelled on the Canada Life documents I had previously created.

* Trained the London Life staff in Canada Life business procedures.

* Co-ordinated departments in four cities across Canada for projects.

* Member of multiple data conversion project teams for the following business mergers, acquisitions and internal 
   re-organizations;

The $5 billion acquisition of Crown Life in 1999 - Approximately one third of this team was located in cities other than Toronto.

Purchase of the $5.1 billion Trust business block from TD Canada Trust in 2000 - This project required system conversion and integration of outside data, as well as travel to and teleconferencing with satellite offices. 

Internal conversion, from both an Individual product system and a Group product system, to a customized combined administration framework.

* Led team to re-engineer portions of the Money product claims systems.

* Resource for the members of the On-call team.

* Redesigned the valuation data creation procedures.  

* Took initiative to create training documents for the IT department on new procedures.

* Trained co-workers with this specialized knowledge of the valuation processes.

  system.  This reduced the time required to add a new fund to seven days from eight weeks.

* Implemented major changes to the internal accounting processes.

* Became the Tax Receipt and Postings specialist that contributed to the creation, comprehensive structure, and
   implementation of system revisions.

* Responsible for the creation, testing and release of overnight batch keychanges.

* Continuous revisions to existing statement processing.

* Team member for the creation of a clone of the existing administration system for the use by US division.

* Served as a member of the On-call team including knowledge of restart and recovery procedures for overnight
