I believe design education should do more than teach tools—it should empower people to think critically, collaborate meaningfully, and bring human-centered solutions to complex problems. My career bridges design practice and education, from leading UX teams to building design programs at universities, bootcamps, and professional organizations.

As a teacher and design program manager, I create learning experiences that balance rigor with creativity, theory with practice. I’ve designed curricula in UX, interaction design, and liberal education, and led executive education workshops that connect design to leadership and organizational change.

Whether in the classroom or online, my goal is to inspire learners to see design as both a discipline and a way of seeing the world—one that prepares them to shape the future with empathy, resilience, and innovation.

2024 goal = Help 100 UX Job seekers by supporting companies to hire them efficiently.

Hi, I am building a social enterprise called www.employed.world to solve a problem that is close to my heart, i.e. the problem/difficulty of finding the first job. I started working when I was 13 years old. After a few odd jobs, I started my design career at the age of 14-15. Getting the first job was not easy then, nor is it today and sadly my research/ master thesis on the topic of unemployment told me that this problem is only getting worse.
High-speed Technology advancement and profit-driven companies may be the top cause but I am yet to learn the system better. So last 2-3 years I tried to understand the problem and the system by volunteering in organizations that are trying to help job seekers. Some were individuals and startups who ran out of energy or money and on the other side there were non-profits which is personally not a long-term efficient solution for me to help job seekers.
There are of course businesses like boot camps that are bridging the gap between what University teaches us and what companies need. But sadly the problem is even out of their hand and now thanks to them selling the dream of becoming a professional in 3-6 months there are way too many job seekers in the market than entry-level jobs.
So the moment of truth came this year when I was unemployed for a period, this time allowed me enough time to introspect and choose the direction I wish to take for my future. and I decided to start talking about this to people around me in the UX industry. I also needed to find a sustainable business to run as a profit-making company so I could reinvest the profits to grow and not rely on donations/funding.
I feel lucky that I found that. Not just a business model but many supporters who inspire me to take the lead of faith and go full-time on this journey of building a social enterprise that aims to help UX job seeker get their first job faster by creating more entry-level positions in the industry/Germany. Why UX? Because of my experience, I can leverage my network of emphatic individuals to help job seekers together. 26 South Asian full time founders + 16 aspiring founders with friends joined last friday to meet for Chai Samosa Networking #2 sponsored by Startupistan Germany and Biryani by Indian Biryani Company hosted at the Engelnest Coworking.

Mozamel Aman, Avinash Ronanki & Haris Rehman took the stage to share insights from their industry (Skill training, QSR and Venture building) with the community.

BERLIndians community founder Abhishek Agarwal spoke about the journey and as always Bingo networking helped everyone go out of atleasat 10+ connections from the evening & Indian snacks prizes + 7th March Holi event tickets by Wedesi / thanks to Sahil.

The evening was concluded with a musical ceremony by an amazing performance by Amin, Rajesh ji, B’day boy Abhiram & my dear Akshata Parate representing Suroon ki Shaam.

I met amazing people in the community like Abhishek Nakrani, Aju John, Dilip Maurya, Dr Nilima Gandhi, .Aravinth Panch. and thank you Lakshmi, Boopalan, @Brijender for volunteering and making this event happen.

We attempt to create more gender inclusive events going ahead and 10th march is an initiative to get inspired from the amazing female founders in the community. Building an institution to research & heal the job market for job seekers.

Last monday Employed.world hosted Mentor-mentee meetup #14

In the current job market we observed that job seekers have a big blindspot to what's wrong with their CV, portfolio while having rare opportunity to reduce that by talking face to face with decision makers on the other side of the table.

After 5 month of break we came again with the event and now bringing it into a monthly format. This event was focused on UX job seekers and we intend to go beyond that. Over the last 2 years and 14 meetups Employed.world has been holding a space and supported 700+ job seekers who are looking for connections, insights and/or just a place to feel heard by connecting them with 100+ mentors, hiring managers from Berlin with this format.

But this won't be possible if supporters like Seminar-mit-Spreeblick and now Seefar Foundation wouldn't be there.
And most importantly, our mentors who recognizes their privilege that they have something to offer which is extremely needed by the other group (job seekers) and are supporting them despite their busy schedules ❤️
All of you are the reason why I breath and live everyday on this mission to heal the job market to make it easier for job seekers in Berlin / Germany.
