I co-founded Hardhat with childhood buddy Dan Monheit at the 'dawn of digital' in 2005. Today, it has become one of Australia's most-loved creative agencies with a 40-strong team of thinkers and makers led by respected communications experts in the fields of behavioural economics, strategy, creativity, UX and craft. 

Hardhat helps brands capitalise on the how, when, where, what and why of human behaviour to get people to tick, click, swipe, buy and believe. The agency has evolved with the times, trends and technologies to deliver stories, experiences, ads and interfaces that champion 'brand' and 'user' in equal measure. Hardhat knows that while a 30-second ad might get people believing in a brand, a three-second wait on its website can get them leaving.

I was Hardhat’s founding Creative Guy (that’s a Creative Director without anyone to direct). I deployed my vast and varied creative skills across strategic thinking, design, branding, photography, video, editing, animation, product development, programming, and pool cleaning to do everything and anything a client would throw our way.  

As the agency grew, I grew into the Managing Director role, where I deployed my Creative Guy hat to create a legendary culture where creativity could thrive and individuals were supportively challenged to discover their own creative potential. Among staff and alumni, Hardhat is fondly held as one of the greatest places to work.
