Vice President of Operations

•	Oversee Operations, Strategy, Customer Experience, Contact Centers, Sales, Fulfillment, and Service Centers (Domestic & International; B2C & B2B).
•	Manage budget, prepare financials, reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
•	Collaborate with the executive team in setting and driving the organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs.
•	Translate the strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning.
o	Introduced 5 new sales channels.
o	Started in-house Service Centers and launched new warehouse.
•	In charge of Customer Experience: Introduced Net Promoter Score (NPS) and closed-loop process - now ranked higher than brands like Apple and Amazon.
•	Manage culture and employee experience, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
•	Identify areas of process enhancement, implementing automation tools and best practices to increase efficiency and quality.
o	Introduced “Personal Shopping” experiences that customers can have with our associates.
•	Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention rates.
•	Revised Customer Service to be WOW! Center where associates are given the training, processes, and empowerment to do what is best for the customer the first time.
•	Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure optimal terms and conditions.

I stopped trying to win arguments

and started choosing calm instead:

That one change did more for my life
than any clever reply ever did.

When emotions spike, the goal is simple.
Protect your peace.

Most reactions feel urgent.
Very few are important.

Here is the reframe that
changed everything for me.

🧠 Slow the moment down
-- Pause before you speak.
-- Ask what you are really reacting to.
-- Space weakens the story.

 🎯 Choose your response
-- You do not owe speed.
-- Silence is not weakness.
-- Energy is expensive. Spend it wisely.

🔄 Shift the frame
-- Ask what this is actually about.
-- Look for another explanation.
-- Heat fades. Logic lasts.

🌿 What helps right now
-- Breathe once.
-- Mirror what you heard.
-- Slow your pace.
-- Hold one calm thought.
-- Let the wave pass.

❌ What I stopped doing
-- Over-defending.
-- Blaming myself.
-- Replaying the moment.
-- Trying to win.

✅ What I started doing
-- Pausing on purpose.
-- Responding with care.
-- Protecting my peace.
-- Moving forward.

💬 Lines I keep ready
-- “I need a moment.”
-- “Let’s pause here.”
-- “I’m not ready yet.”
-- “Let’s focus on the issue.”
-- “I want to solve this.”

Try this today 👇

You cannot control others.

But you can always control your response.

The most successful people I know?

They're kind on purpose:

Not when it is easy.

Not when it is convenient.

They choose it.

And that choice compounds.

Here is what I have learned.

Kindness is not random.

It is built in layers.

Miss the first layer and nothing above it holds.

1️⃣ Level 1 is the foundation to set it all up.

• Show up on time
• Help without being asked
• Respect space and time
• Look people in the eye
• Say thank you and mean it

This is how trust starts.

Not vision.
Not values.
Behavior.

2️⃣ Level 2 is how you show up for people.

• Listen without fixing
• Praise specifics, not fluff
• Give credit in public
• Show patience under stress
• Speak well when they are absent

This is how safety is built.

People relax.
Ideas show up.
Energy changes.

3️⃣ Level 3 is leadership under pressure.

• Invite quieter voices in
• Stay calm when stakes are high
• Admit mistakes fast
• Protect time and boundaries
• Make hard talks feel human

This is how culture forms.

Not from slogans.

From moments.

Kindness only scales when the base is real.

If it is fake, people feel it.

If it is real, they copy it.

🟧 Try one small move today, such as:

• Thank one person by name
• Ask someone quiet what they think
• Pause before reacting
• Defend someone not present
• Help someone log off on time

Kindness is not soft.

It is practiced strength.

And top performers practice it daily.

I learned this the hard way, 

Strategy breaks in the middle:

Right where things feel busy
but nothing really moves.

I used to think strategy was one big idea.

It’s not.

It’s a chain.

And most teams snap it without noticing.

Let me show you how I see it now.

⚪ Layer 1: Think clearly
This is where most mistakes begin.
• Notice real patterns
• Question what feels obvious
• Use data, not vibes
• Assume change is coming

No clear thinking here
means bad choices later.

🔵 Layer 2: Choose wisely
Thinking without action is just noise.
• Gather what matters
• Decide
• Review fast
• Adjust without ego

Speed plus reflection wins.

🟣 Layer 3: Do the work
Ideas do not count here.
• Turn plans into steps
• Measure only what matters
• Test small
• Spend time where results show

Busy is not progress.

🟢 Layer 4: Execute and adapt
This is where teams feel pain.
• Remove blockers
• Lock in what works
• Re-align people and resources
• Keep everyone informed

Clarity lowers friction.

🔴 Layer 5: Track goals
If you do not track it
you cannot fix it.
• Set clear targets
• Watch progress weekly
• Cut the noise
• Improve fast

Simple beats clever.

🟠 Layers 6 & 7: Execute & Lead the direction
This is the multiplier.
• Create buy-in
• Say the why out loud
• Challenge old habits
• Correct course early

Leadership holds it all together.

Want to use this today?

Do this one thing:

• Pick one stuck decision
• Find the missing layer
• Fix that first

That’s it.

Strong strategy is not complex.

It’s connected.

And once you see the layers
you can’t unsee them.

I’ve seen smart leaders lose teams,

And it had nothing to do with IQ:

They didn’t fail from lack of skill.

They failed from using the wrong strength
at the wrong moment.

That’s the part no one teaches you.

Leadership is not picking IQ, EQ, or AQ.

It’s knowing when to switch.

Most leaders don’t switch.

They lean on what feels safe.

That’s where things break.

Here’s the simple frame I use:

🧠 IQ is how you think
• Learn fast
• Break problems down
• Find the answer

❤️ EQ is how you show up
• Read the room
• Build trust
• Handle tension without damage

⚡ AQ is how you stay steady
• Adapt under pressure
• Stay calm in chaos
• Keep moving when plans fall apart

Each one wins in different moments:

• IQ when the problem is complex
• EQ when emotions are involved
• AQ when things feel unstable

Each one also has a trap:

• IQ can overthink
• EQ can absorb too much
• AQ can move before thinking

This is where great leaders separate.

They don’t ask
“What am I good at?”

They ask
“What does this moment need?”

Try this this week:

• Learn one new skill on purpose 🧠
• Ask for real feedback and listen ❤️
• Do one uncomfortable thing anyway ⚡

Strong leadership is not being the smartest.

It’s being aware enough to switch gears.

That’s what people feel.

And that’s why they follow.

-- Flat loses attention.
-- Sharp creates tension.
-- Warm and steady creates safety.

🤲 Your hands
-- Hidden feels guarded.
-- Wild feels messy.
-- Open and calm builds trust.

📏 Your space
-- Too close feels pushy.
-- Too far feels distant.
-- Comfort keeps people engaged.

🧍 Your posture
-- Slouching closes you off.
-- Fidgeting shows doubt.
-- Standing tall signals calm confidence.

👂 Your listening
-- Phones break trust fast.
-- Forced nodding feels off.
-- Eye contact and pauses show respect.

Try this this week 👇
• Slow your movements.
• Lower your voice slightly.
• Keep hands visible.
• Give people space.
• Pause before replying.

You don't need better words.

You need your body to agree with them.

Not fear:

Most PIPs fail because 
they feel like punishment.

A good one should help 
people get better—

Not feel blamed.

Here’s how to make it work

1️⃣ Set clear goals
• Say what success looks like.
• Example: “Increase sales 15% in 3 months.”

2️⃣ Find the gaps
• See what’s missing between now and the goal.
• List what needs to change.

3️⃣ Focus on what matters
• Start with easy wins.
• Plan big projects next.
• Skip the stuff that wastes time.

4️⃣ Keep it moving
• Make a plan, try it, check results, fix it..
• Repeat.

To make any plan work:
🔹Be clear
🔹Involve people
🔹Set deadlines
🔹Track progress
🔹Celebrate wins

If you feel tired all the time,

This might be why:

I used to think I was low on motivation.

I was wrong.

and calling it “being busy.”

When one drains,
the others try to cover for it.

That works for a while.

Then the crash shows up.

Here’s what most people miss:

🟣 Mental energy
-- Too many tabs open equals quiet exhaustion.

🔵 Emotional energy
-- Unfelt feelings do not disappear.
-- They pile up.

🟠 Physical energy
-- No movement equals slow burnout.

🔴 Social energy
-- Some people refill you.
-- Some quietly empty you.

🟢 Spiritual energy
-- When meaning fades, effort feels heavy.

Balance is not doing everything evenly.

Balance is noticing what is low
before everything breaks.

Here is a reset that actually works:

💼 At work
• Do one thing.
• Finish it.
• Pause on purpose.

 🏚️At home
• Lower the noise.
• Move your body a little.

👥 With people
• Spend time where energy returns.

✨ With purpose
• Remember why today matters.

Energy is not fixed.

It is guided.

Stop pushing through.

Start paying attention.
