The SBA exists to provide a platform which allows students in the TWU Business School to gain further knowledge about different career options and have an opportunity for building relationships with professionals and alumni in various industries. This past two years SBA is becoming the most active student club on TWU campus.

Working as TWU’s Global Engagement Office Assistant, I had the privilege to lead a group of wonderful ICP programmers in the Community Lounge Events team. We quickly became one of the most active student leadership team on campus with events that unite students from across the world such as Korean Movie Night, Afro-Caribbean Dance Workshop, Spring Festival and Cultural Worship Night.

Global Engagement Assistant - ICP

The Intercultural Programs (ICP) team serves the international student population here at Trinity by providing them with an introduction and orientation to the TWU community, and by offering ongoing support as they transition to life and school in Canada. 

As a programmer, my role consists of building strategic partnerships within and outside of TWU through programs and events. This year we partnered with TWU Student Association, TWU Richmond Campus, Parent Network, Wellness Center in events such as the International Film Festival, Babel Event, International Students Tool Kit as well as one of the most successful event on campus this year - Spring Festival.

Intercultural Programmer - ICP

Network Coordinators are bridges between off-campus students and Trinity along with other student support services in the new Trinity Access program. I plan intentional community-building events that primarily serve 118 students in off-campus locales, both near and distant from the university during the global pandemic. 

• Plan and implement at least one large (up to 50) group event per month.
• Arrange for several smaller events/outings or study spaces each month. 
• Maintain close liaison with regional Chapter Guides.
• Engage with regional alumni and parents who want to assist in this program.

Trinity Accounting Association (TAA) is an official student-led club in the TWU School of Business, exists to develop outstanding Christian business leaders with a reputation of integrity, loyalty, and competence in the accounting industry. TAA has committed to achieving this vision through promoting the CPA designation, firm networking events, alumni panel and professional workshops. TAA receives direct funding from Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC).

• Primary contact and representative of TAA in public settings 
• Ensure TAA’s operations align with the club’s Vision and Mission.
• Responsible for the coordination of team meetings and content within meetings 
• Responsible for finding and connecting professionals and the Director of Events for event purposes.

With a deep desire for making a difference in the lives of others, Kevin quickly found himself in the Wealth Management Industry after graduation. Kevin recognizes the uniqueness of each client and is dedicated to delivering unparalleled customer service to address their needs and concerns. Kevin is a Registered Representative with CIRO, and is currently working towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.

Kevin is a graduate of Trinity Western University with Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Honours degree, specializes in Finance, Accounting and Marketing. With a passion to help his peers succeed, Kevin served as the President of Student Business Association and Trinity Accounting Association, where he and his team constantly fostered network opportunities between industry professionals and students from the School of Business, with an aim of empowering students to carve out their own career paths.

Kevin was born and raised in Xi’an, China and moved to Vancouver, B.C. alone as an international student at the age of 15. Outside of work, Kevin and his partner Kajsa enjoy cooking authentic Chinese dishes, and spending time with their two beloved cats – Nala (Bengal) and Sofi (Siamese).
