Every year the trash icon evolves… and somehow MSP customer service keeps racing to meet it at the bottom. 🤮

AI should support your team, not your clients.
𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑻𝑬𝑨𝑴 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔.

Somewhere along the way, a bunch of “𝘈𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴” with the collective experience of a wilted houseplant decided the future of client service is to shove clients directly into an AI blender and call it innovation.

Absolutely not.

-AI should make your techs faster, smarter, more consistent.
-It should help your account managers get context quicker.
-It should help your service desk dispatch cleaner, document better, and avoid repetitive toil.

But it should 𝗡𝗢𝗧, 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒄𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒖𝒎𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆, become the thing your clients are forced to deal with instead of a human being.

Every year I’m thankful for a lot of things… but this year, nothing beats spending quality time with my closest confidant, Emmy 🐘. 

We shared snacks, spun around like it was a 90s sitcom intro, caught up on Above the Stack reruns, and even took a power nap. I wanted to include the Mario Kart segment, but Emmy cheats and vetoed the footage. 🤬

𝑾𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔. We can get caught up in our own definition of progress, our own vision of achievement, our own scoreboard. But everyone has different mountains to climb, different demons to outrun, and different finish lines that feel meaningful.

Some victories look big. Some look small. Some look like a wildly over-engineered machine that only moves you one second into the future at a time.

But if it represents effort, growth, healing, courage, creativity, or even just trying again after a rough week?
-That’s success.

So today, take a moment to cheer for someone else’s “clock.”
Even if you don’t fully get it.
Even if you would’ve built something different.
Even if their win looks nothing like yours.

Because lifting each other up is one of the easiest, most generous acts of friendship we get to offer.

I get asked all the time: “How did you make that?” or “Where do you find the time?” or “What gear are you using… and do I need all of that to start?” 

The honest answer is surprisingly boring. You do not need much. In fact, if you survived a mid-90s high school film class, you already learned almost everything required to make the kind of content I make today. 

I put together an outline of my own (objectively terrible) creative process in the hope it helps anyone who wants to create things but feels intimidated by gear, budget, or perfectionism. 

Spoiler: constraint is a superpower, and you probably have everything you need already.
