I’ve watched exceptional products stall in the MSP space for one reason. Not because they didn’t work, but because they weren’t understood. MSPs don’t buy vision decks or clever positioning. They buy solutions to real operational problems, clearly articulated, in language that respects their reality.

Today, I operate at the intersection of systems and story.

I serve as Chief of Staff at Cyft, where we’re building Sam, an AI teammate that remembers service calls so technicians don’t have to. Documentation just happens. She remembers what humans shouldn’t have to carry. My role focuses on building the operational backbone that allows that promise to scale with integrity. Structure, decision clarity, and the quiet infrastructure that makes products usable in the real world.

Alongside that work, I’m a co-founder of CMND Media, where I help MSP-focused SaaS founders translate their expertise into messaging that actually moves sales conversations forward. No jargon. No buzzwords. Just clear narratives built for a channel that values practicality over hype.

I specialize in three things that matter most to MSP-aligned startups:

As a lifelong problem solver with a passion for helping others, my professional journey is focused on operational efficiency, and developing confident teams & leaders through relationship building and authentic connection. 

Having joined Immense Networks during its early(ish) existence, I have extensive experience transitioning from the chaos of a Break/Fix IT Shop to running a full-fledged successful MSP.  While leading the administrative side of Immense Networks, I sharpened my interpersonal skills and built my technical knowledge.  I accepted the technical service management role in 2017 with hopes of improving employee experience, customer satisfaction, and cultivating a strong company culture. While I didn't know everything, I leaned into my experience with process improvement, managing client expectations, and the support of strong mentors.  Through process implementation, process failures, accountability, accountability setbacks, staff recognition, “Don’t even mention Timenator” conversations, and a whole lot of apologizing when I messed up, our team (and subsequently Immense Networks/ImmyBot) has been able to thrive and focus on our passion for automation and helping other companies achieve their goals by utilizing technology.

Coming from an internal need to expedite workstation deployments, we developed ImmyBot through many late nights for 3 years.  Thanks to the efforts of my amazing coworkers, we officially launched ImmyBot to Automate Workstation Deployments in 2020 and have seen extensive internal efficiency improvements.

Currently, I am focused on ImmyBot strategic planning, and coaching the leadership team at Immense Networks. I encourage everyone to lead with passion and understanding to empower and build confidence within their staff. I've been known to be aggressively friendly at conventions or peer group meetings.

My favorite community calls haven't been overly polished, they're honest and uncomfortable conversations.

Let's just get this out of the way, FFWW&JCEs... I am NOT a New Year’s Resolution sorta person. They're too much pressure, they cause me extreme anxiety, and I always fail at them for a few reasons...

1. I make entirely too many resolutions.
2. They're oddly specific and excessively high on the expectations.
3. I am super unrealistic with my time and what I can actually commit to.

I prefer something with less pressure that can guide my year, instead of handcuffing me.

I took some time yesterday to brainstorm my word-of-the year... This is an exercise I've done for the past few years and found it works better for me than resolutions.

Having a role like mine means the work/life balance is very skewed in favor of work. A majority of my friend group works within our industry. We go to the same events, we make time for each other, we bounce ideas off each other, they're my life support when I'm flailing. 

I love the overlap my work and life have, but it means this isn't "just work"... It's truly a my life and one I love living... So, in 2026 I'm choosing to bring joy, fun, and dare I say, DELIGHT to as many things as I can... while continuing to show up authentically and confidently.

So, I did what I always do... CREATED ANOTHER CHECKLIST that WILL fix my life.

Y'all, if this checklist doesn't fix it, I am literally out of ideas. Maybe we reinstitute crying in the bathroom on Thursdays at 2pm and calling Natalie Hell to pull me back from the ledge. 😅

I work for ImmyBot... Which I think everyone knows, unless you're new here. Working for a small SaaS company in the MSP space means my days are basically decision making, event planning, content building, yada, yada, yada.

At the same time, I have ADHD, and something I consistently struggle with (on a bad day) and manage (on a good day) is executive functioning.

If you're like "Tara, WTF is executive functioning?" Don't worry, I have a definition!

Executive functioning is the set of mental skills that help you plan, decide, start, prioritize, switch tasks, and follow through. You can think of it as your brain’s internal management system... and it can be a complete jerk face to wrangle some days.

From the outside, I like to think things look fine most of the time... But internally, I’m often burning a lot of energy just keeping that system running and keeping the raving brain squirrels in check.

Earlier this week, something clicked for me while doom scrolling instagram during a sleepless night. A video about ADHD and executive functioning popped up, and it discussed how there are times when people struggling with it actually outsource their executive functioning... Sometimes it's accidental and sometimes completely intentional. This can look like handing off planning, or making decisions when they're feeling maxed out mentally.

Suddenly, a memory made perfect sense. I wouldn't be surprised if a literal light bulb turned on over my head.💡 

Recently, I spent a day with one of my besties. When we made plans, I had one request... “I don’t want to plan anything. Just tell me where to be and when to show up.” At the time, it felt lazy/indecisive on my part, and I worried about them judging me for not planning everything.

I didn't realize it at the time, but what I was actually asking for was relief from constant choice. And, they showed the f*ck up.

They gave me a time, and a place. They made a dinner reservation! When we got hungry, I didn’t have to decide. When it was time to move on, I didn’t have to think.

That day truly felt like a gift... Not because I don’t know how to plan, but because for one day, I didn’t have to manage, optimize, or decide ANYTHING.

I got to just… exist.

I asked for what I needed, and they didn't hesitate. 

I want to encourage you, if you notice a friend struggling with executive functioning (ADHD or otherwise), helping them rarely means advice or solutions. It's really much simpler than that... It's an “I’ve got this."
Maybe make that plan, set that time, and place. Do a body doubling session, or accountability call. Temporarily take something off their plate. It helps more than you know.

And to my friends who let me show up as I am... Quirks, lists, overwhelm, and all the other chaos... Thank you for not hesitating to help.💚💛💜
