During the coronavirus pandemic, my dad duties expanded to include home schooling three kids whilst caring for our two year old. A true test of patience, time and project management capabilities!

EMC Infra was formed after the acquisition of Infra Corp. I was integral to the due diligence teams on both sides to ensure the deal closed successfully. Upon joining EMC I played a key role in the post-acquisition integration including alignment of employment terms and conditions, benefits, systems and people practices. 

This transition provided invaluable experience of mergers and acquisition and my first exposure of working within a corporate HR team.

Infra is an IT Service Management platform. Reporting to the MD/Co-Founder, I joined as their first HR Manager supporting 130 people across Australia, UK, and US. The immediate objective was to ready the business for sale. To support this objective I rapidly reviewed and implemented core people operations and practices in each office location to support the due diligence process and eventual sale which closed successfully in March 2008 to EMC.

Key achievements included the successful launch of Workday HCM and Slack, 40% annual growth in headcount, digital management development program, and a refreshed onboarding experience.
 
Through my tech start up / scale up experience, I’ve developed a strong interest in scaling culture through design-thinking practices and strong operational excellence across the entire candidate/employee experience journey. I am a student and practitioner of servant-based leadership with a strong commitment to ongoing personal and professional learning.
