Cihan Bektas is a reward winning photographers and creative artist based in Melbourne, Australia. His work and style are influenced by many different aspects of historical art. He has pioneered the use of digital manipulation within his field. He has an unmistakable pictorial idiom, based on his humour, his playfulness and practically unlimited power of the imagination. His pictorial composition nonetheless remains simple and clear. The multiple levels of interpretation in Cihan Bektas Studio’s work point to surrealist art as the creative source of their inspiration. Breathtaking compositions and beauty.
He has been fortunate to have had numerous solo exhibitions. Cihan Bektaş is a Turkish-born Australian Photographer, Poet, Digital Art, Writer and NFT artist.

 

An acclaimed creative, his work is extremely engaging and dynamic, earning Cihan many awards throughout his artistic endeavours including the Australian Photographer of the Year by Canon in 2019 and winner of the SUNSTUDIOS emerging photographer award for his portrait series, Her, in the same year.

 

His series Her, a photographic love note and tribute to his wife also went on to earn Cihan a runner up award for the Australian Photography award presented by Nokia in 2020. The exhibition and book was presented in distinguished galleries and appreciated by art lovers around the world.

 

Recently named amongst the 20 most inspiring Australian photographers to watch over the next decade, in 2020, Cihan showcased many of his works to art lovers in Australia and the UK through the ARTLOVERS AUSTRALIA online gallery and also successfully held his first solo exhibition of aerial photography in Melbourne.
