Applied a line of security features across departments to make sure the systems are protected against DDOS attacks, malware and hardened their security. Maintained ports on all machines and implemented a tracking system to protect against network intrusion including SNORT, in addition this covers network defence and intrusions prevention techniques using a Sophos SG210, and various systems to help increase the security of the network. I also maintained the in-house Microsoft exchange server, dealing with email issues, setting up domains and dealing with DNS issues, applying additional details to client’s websites, dealing with database issues (SQL and MySQL). I was in charge of our server environment which ran Plesk (in a Linux environment) and maintained this at route level.
