Use my extensive hospitality industry knowledge and management experience to maximize property potential, increase bookings, and provide memorable guest experiences.

Champion the balance between commercial success, client satisfaction, and respect for our local environment.

Manage relationships with various stakeholders, including guests, property owners, and local communities, ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.

I bring a keen eye for detail, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence, all with the aim to make every stay in our Laik properties perfect.

Verdant Interiors Ltd

As co-founder and director at Verdant Interiors, a Lake District-based interior design business, I use my passion for design and travel to transform properties into inviting spaces for holiday rentals. Drawing on a wealth of industry experience, local connections, and a deep understanding of the property market, I help clients maximize their holiday rental's potential.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with clients to identify their property's needs, whether it's a quick refresh, a full renovation, or staging a home.

Developing design strategies that enhance the appeal of properties, ensuring they stand out in a saturated market and offer memorable experiences for guests.

Overseeing long-term renovations and managing relationships with trusted local tradespeople to ensure quality results and value for money.

Interior Designer

As a self-employed bookkeeper, I provided comprehensive financial services to a diverse range of businesses across Cumbria. Leveraging my extensive knowledge of bookkeeping and finance, I worked closely with clients to ensure their financial records were accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with relevant regulations.

In this role, I:

Managed financial records for multiple clients, processing transactions, balancing accounts, and performing regular audits to ensure accuracy.

Applied strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to maintain ledgers, manage invoices and payroll, and reconcile bank statements.

Assisted clients with financial planning and budgeting, providing insights to inform business decisions and strategies.

Ensured all clients met financial reporting deadlines and remained compliant with HMRC regulations.

Built strong relationships with clients, delivering personalized services that met their unique business needs and financial goals.

Adapted quickly to different industries, learning each business's nuances to provide the most effective financial management services.

Bookkeeper

Home Group

As a Support Coordinator at Home Group, I was part of a dedicated team committed to changing lives for the better. We empowered customers with complex needs, supporting them to develop skills to live more independently within the community.

My role was to provide comprehensive advice on homelessness, housing options, debt, and welfare benefits. We were also there to address other life issues which may affect housing, such as drug or alcohol use, domestic abuse, and history of offending.

As a coordinator, I was instrumental in creating person-centered support plans, assessing customer referrals, and guiding colleagues. The goal was to provide tailored services to meet individual customer needs.

The role required resilience, a calm demeanour under pressure, and the ability to work independently.

Support Coordinator

Treetop Trek

In my role as Reception Coordinator at Treetop Trek, I served as the primary point of contact for the customers, guiding them through their booking journey via phone, email, or face-to-face interactions. My role demanded a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skills, as I was responsible for maintaining our management system with up-to-date and relevant information.

A crucial aspect of my role was ensuring seamless communication across departments for upcoming bookings. As such, I honed my ability to disseminate information effectively and efficiently. My responsibilities also extended to managing billing processes, invoicing and addressing financial queries, a task which required proficiency with multiple software platforms.

Additionally, I was entrusted with various administrative duties based on the business's evolving needs, showcasing my adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges. Through this role, I developed a keen understanding of delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced, outdoor adventure setting.

Reception Coordinator

As an Outdoor Instructor at Treetop Trek, I facilitated outdoor adventure experiences for a diverse range of participants. I provided great customer service, ensured safety, and fostered an atmosphere of excitement. Despite the challenges of working at heights, I found great satisfaction in contributing to participants' personal growth. My role allowed me to gain an ERCA internationally recognised qualification, bolstering my outdoor leadership skills and safety knowledge.

During my time in Bologna, Italy, I had the enriching experience of teaching English as a second language. Ranging from young learners aged 3 to mature students in their 60s, I provided one-on-one educational experiences tailored to the unique learning styles and objectives of each student. Utilising my TEFL qualifications, I employed a variety of pedagogical approaches and materials to facilitate language acquisition and proficiency. This role allowed me to cultivate an adaptable teaching style, improve my cross-cultural communication skills, and impact learners of diverse backgrounds and age groups.
