When I joined DFB/ DFC they had a backlog of 4 months of invoices due to a lack of finance team and they we're also switching to a new bespoke accounting software.
For DFB, I sorted their backlog, brought their accounts upto date and worked along side their management accountant in implimenting their new bespoke accountancy software. My tasks varied from PL, SL through to weekly payment runs, month end and authors royalty payments.
I completed similar tasks for DFC but also worked to get thier AD list down by a 6 figure sum over the course of my time there. Accountancy softwares used whilst there included Kashflow and Xero.

I learnt a vast amount about finance whilst working in this role and studied in my own time around my full time job for qualifications in Sage50 Bookkeeping and other qualifications.

Administration jobs including updating NMDS database, Interviewing, sending for verbal and written references, updating weekly adverts with JobCentre Plus, placing job adverts on free-ad sites, keeping caregiver and client paperwork up to date and making sure our computer system reflects this, producing a bi-monthly newsletter, supporting the recruitment and retention manager, managing her diary, creating certificates for staff training, creating and managing the training matrix, preparing training room for meetings, collate feedback from training, monthly mileage checks, monitoring the staff log in system, billing timesheets, answering calls and client/careiver enquiries, ensuring all office paperwork is up to date.
