Increased demand for internal conference and events planning services by 110%, keeping the funds in-house.  Spearhead detailed events marketing plans using varied advertising channels and venues.  Created bold and memorable materials, guaranteeing public awareness and securing high turnouts. Increased registrations and numbers of events by up to 25% annually, measuring awareness through post-event evaluations.  Served as an active member on internal and external committees, cultivating a strong network of industry players and mentoring new committee members and professional staff. Provide wide-ranging consultation on contract negotiations, scrutinizing logistics plans and offering suggestions for Gala venue locations and best practices.

Most event planners are overqualified for the work they’re actually hired to do.

Yes, I said it.

And if that irritates you a little a little, stay with me.

You didn’t spend years learning how rooms work, how people move, how energy shifts, how decisions ripple through an event, just to be asked if you can find a caterer and keep everyone on schedule. 

Yet that’s where many established planners quietly land. 

Doing excellent work. Feeling slightly boxed in.

I’ve been there.

There was a point in my business where I could see the smarter path before a client ever named the problem. 

I knew what would elevate the event and what would dilute it. 

And instead of leading with that, I waited. 

I executed beautifully. Clients were happy. I was also underused. Grossly.

That wasn’t because they didn’t value me. It was because I hadn’t shown them how to.

When you present yourself as the person who makes things happen, that’s how clients treat you. 

When you don’t lead with your thinking and creativity, they assume it’s not part of the deal. 

Then we all wonder why events start to feel the same.

This matters because it slowly limits you. 

You stay busy. You stay respected. You also stay slightly unsatisfied. 

You know you’re capable of more, but you’re still operating inside an old role you outgrew.

You don’t need more experience. You just need to let yourself lead with it.

The shift is simple and uncomfortable: You lead with strategy. 

You tell the client what you see. You offer your ideas and suggestions before they ask. 

When you do that, the relationship changes. So does the work.

You don’t need more credentials. You need to stop holding back what already makes you valuable.
