Latvian Paintball club is leading entertainment organizer of paintball games in Latvia. I worked in company's outdoor park, 20-something kilometers from Riga, which at the time was biggest paintball park in the Baltics.  My roles were technical maintenance specialist (full time) & paintball game instructor (part time). 

My key responsibilities as technical maintenance specialist: 
- Regular maintenance of all paintball equipment, including pneumatic markers, air compressors, air tanks. 
- Repairs according to manufacturer manuals when necessary
- Technical assistance to the players in the field

My key responsibilities as paintball instructor were:
- Ensuring that all players obey safety rules at all times
- Leading paintball games in an engaging fashion and ensuring that players leave the field in a better mood than they've arrived in
- Stimulating paintball ammunition sales

Or, to put it more succinctly .. 

Entrepreneur - one who assumes risks of venturing out into the unknown. 

Yep, that pretty much describes me. Partially, at least. 

I enjoy taking on challenges and venturing out into the unknown, diving into projects that have never been done before (even if just by me, but ideally - by anyone). Mundane is boring as hell for me. 

But then, there is another side of me that adds the word "calculated" into the mix. 

By studying some of the best risk takers, investors, entrepreneurs, adventurers and explorers of the world, I also learned that not all risks are equal and not all of them are worth taking. 

So now I'm balancing my life between reducing the amount of mundane things in it, taking calculated risks that are worth taking and also remembering to have fun in the process.
