Add Meetings is a B2B platform designed for serious sellers and buyers to connect with their ideal clients. Sellers can see their clients' availability, give a compelling pitch, and directly request meetings, escaping all the noise around email, calling, and messaging.

Another company I own is AddFitt (addfitt.com), a platform in the health and fitness space for bloggers to share and gain knowledge about everything related to health and fitness.

I started out as a copywriter writing for other marketing experts. I'd write a new sales page for something they already sold, they'd test my page against their existing page, and if/when mine outperformed theirs, I got paid. I only ever didn't win once, and that was a draw.

I soon transitioned into conversion optimization overall. I wanted to see what else affects conversion rates than the language you use (the copywriting). It quickly became clear that the only things that consistently made a big difference to web conversions was what you make people understand and what you ask them to do.

Ever since then, I've focused primarily on messaging; finding the exact language that makes you stand from the competition out in your ideal customers' eyes. No matter what marketing they see from you, they should immediately see something that makes you the best option for them.

I still help with conversion optimization—websites and marketing strategy overall—but it's all based on first making sure we're giving people a clear reason to see you as their best choice.

Value Proposition and Marketing Messaging Expert

How much of a difference would it make for you if all your marketing immediately made people see you as MEANINGFULLY DIFFERENT than any other option they have?

Whether you have tons of direct competitors or not, your potential customers compare you to other options they have. If you don't stand out as the best for them, they choose someone else.

My approach to marketing is based on messaging (especially differentiation), so that's where I always start. Messaging is almost always the root cause of poor marketing results, but many people notice some specific symptoms instead.

Some common symptoms of by poor differentiation:

🚩You've spent lots of time and money on your website, but you don't get many (if any) high-quality leads or sales from it.

🚩You do plenty of marketing, but the overall results hardly justify the effort you put in.

🚩You aren't sure what to say in some marketing (e.g., ads, emails, blog, webinar) to get people to take action, even if you have their attention.

Most of my clients are other marketing experts (I'm often called "the marketers' marketer"). That's because they know it's almost impossible to see your own business, product, or service objectively. "It's hard to read the label from inside the jar."

The rest of my clients include SaaS companies, agencies, coaches, medical device manufacturers, consumer product manufacturers, therapists, and countless others. Some have lots of marketing experience, others none at all.
