HB 96 Is Now Law. Here’s What It Means for Your District.

Ohio House Bill 96 requires every school district to adopt a formal Artificial Intelligence policy by July 1, 2026.

But this isn’t just about compliance.

It signals a major shift in how schools must think about:
• AI governance
• Ethical use
• Data privacy
• Academic integrity
• Staff training

Districts that treat this as a paperwork task will struggle.
