As a Superintendent, I have worked to collaboratively establish district vision, facilitated continuous improvement and focus of district work, developed governance policies and procedures that maximize the success of all students, created instructional systems designed for high student achievement, managed and organized the district’s resources (human, fiscal, operational and material) to accomplish district goals, and successfully helped to pass a bond issue for a new K12 facility.

This past year I presented to a group of 90+ teachers and we had a race to see who could unpack a standard, identify prior knowledge, create "I Can" statements, develop scaffolds & supports with formative assessments, a student-friendly rubric with the fastest completion time. 

The result? A standards unpacking showdown in just under 5 minutes. Here's is how

Start with a simple prompt: “Pretend you are an accomplished Ohio 6th grade reading teacher. Identify the main ideas, skills, and concepts within the standard: RI.6.2 Analyze informational text development. a. Determine a central idea of a text and how it is conveyed through particular details. b. Provide an objective summary of the text that includes the central idea and relevant details. 

Once you see the result, you will be amazed. This is just the start!

It reminded me of something we talk about often:

Across Ohio, students are using Educator AgriNetwork curriculum to analyze real-world ag business challenges like this SWOT Analysis Lab from the FutureProof AgReady unit.

Under the guidance of AgriNetwork educators Dr. Stephanie Jolliff and Ms. Lori Romie, students collaborated to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in a contamination scenario. Their redesigns reflected authentic industry practices: SOP audits, safety improvements, and sustainability planning.

What makes this moment powerful isn’t just the posters or presentations; it’s what’s happening behind them:
💡 Teachers aligning workforce-ready instruction to state standards
🌾 Students applying critical thinking and communication skills
🤝 Classrooms connecting directly to the needs of local industry

That early start gave me an edge: not just in technical knowledge, but in emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and the ability to truly understand what people need. I've had the honor to work with clients ranging from emerging startups to 7-8 figure businesses and respected influencers worldwide. I care deeply about helping people and businesses win. Freeing up their time by solving real problems and elevating their online presence.

Besides that, my digital presence has grown steadily over the years. Built not on trends or collaborations, but on consistency, clarity, and care. What started on Instagram has reached over 35,000 followers, with LinkedIn now approaching 20,000 followers. Across platforms, more than 60,000 people are part of this awesome journey. Drawn not just to the content, but to the values and vision behind it.

Today, I'm still building. Still solving. Still sharing what I've learned with others. Alongside client work, I'm laying the foundation for a new global community. A space rooted in service, legacy, and long-term thinking where people don't just grow their businesses, but also become better people.

And one good way is to start with habits.

Figure out which habits you need to build,

So you can stay consistent and progress.

Sure, those might seem like small steps we 
take, but those steps help us to grow more.

And over time, all those habits will be built,

Helping us to stay consistent and grow.

Keep showing up every single day too.

Uncertainty is something that seems scary,

And sometimes, we even want to avoid it.

Because it's easier to stay in our comfort 
zones, where everything is familiar to us.

But we all know growth and good things...

They happen when you leave that zone.

When we experiment and start exploring.

Taking one step after another outside our 
comfort zone while also figuring things out.

Of course, leaving that zone can be difficult.

That's why we must start with small steps.

The more we take them outside that zone, 
the more we get used to exploring things.

Then, our comfort zone keeps expanding.

And we keep learning some great lessons.

So take the step, see what you can learn.

If every single day we have is always great,

We forget quickly how great they really are,

And then we start taking them for granted.

But sometimes we need those bad days to 
remind ourselves how good we really have it.

And then, we can push through them again,

Learn from them, and enjoy the good ones.

Every single journey has both of them, and 
we all walk through those ups and downs.

They make our journey more interesting,

And remind not to take things for granted.

Of course, there are moments when you're

The truth is, finding that balance between 
both sides is something that can work best.

So we know when to celebrate small wins,

And when to push ourselves a little more.

Because that balance between both sides 
helps us to adjust when it's really needed.

By the end of the day, those are our goals,

And nobody else will achieve them for us.

We need to show up for ourselves daily.

So figure out when to be your own friend 
and when to test your current limitations.

Your progress is about the results you get,

Not about the number of hours you work.

Because it's the results that help you to 
achieve the things you have dreamed of.

So we need to change what we focus on:

Instead of just tracking how much we work,

We also need to start counting the results.

Are you completing the tasks that help you 
achieve your goals? Or, just staying busy?

Our goal should be to move forward daily,

Not walking in circles, thinking we're growing.

So it comes down to those priorities we set.

And if we can do some things in 2 focused 
hours, we spend 8 hours on them instead?

Work smart and always measure progress.

Give your energy to the things that matter.

Setbacks and failures exist in every journey,

And we don't always know when they come.

Besides that, predicting the moment those 
setbacks come is a waste of our time as well.

We must spend our time and energy wisely.

So the best thing we can do for ourselves:

Preparing for those setbacks beforehand.

And that preparation begins with our own 
mindset and how we see setbacks today.

You can't always directly control them all,

But you can do something much better:

Control how you respond to all setbacks.

Because your response is something you 
control, and controlling that brings change.

And the changes can be powerful enough,

To change the thing you wanted to change.

And also, that we give ourselves the time.

To experiment. To explore. Try new things.

Because that's how you can discover what 
works best and how to achieve your goals.

Everyone's journey is different in its own way,

And what works great for someone else,

Might not always work the best for us.

So every time you find what works, you 
achieve another small and great win.

Those small wins help you to grow more,

Even if you don't see changes right away.

Remember: it's happening, but slowly.

Have you ever felt this when doing things:

The less you force, the more you achieve?

Because we can fully focus on the things 
that matter when we don't force ourselves.

We often say: "I have to do those things."

But when you say: "I get to do the thing",

And then just take the next step forward,

It seems much easier to achieve all those 
things we wanted or complete our tasks.

That's why our approach often matters.

It's not just about us taking action daily,

But also about how we feel when doing it.

Negative thinking can make it much harder 
for us to achieve goals and complete tasks.

Positive thinking often does the opposite.

So change how you approach your goals.
