3 years ago, I was drowning...

As an RVP at a fast-growing tech company, my life had become an endless stream of:

• "Urgent" emails
• Back-to-back meetings
• And constant fire-fighting

Waking up early and working late into the night.

My phone was always buzzing with notifications.

To make matters worse, it was taking a toll on my family.

The breaking point:

Missing my son's jujitsu belt test.

Something I'd promised I wouldn't do.

That night, seeing the disappointment in his eyes, I knew something had to change.

I spent the next year obsessively learning, developing & testing different productivity systems that would allow me to:

• Still perform at a high level
• Stop feeling perpetually overwhelmed
• End working nights/weekends just to keep up

I started creating what I called "mini-systems"

Small changes that had a compounding effect.

What began as a quest to regain control of my calendar...

Evolved into an operating system that helped me recover 10+ hours every week.

More importantly, spend more time w/ family. 

I've started documenting my learnings & "mini-systems" and now share them with others through my content and weekly newsletter The Systematic Sales Leader.

My goal is to help as many sales leaders as possible avoid the same burnout I and so many others experience through tested and proven systems.

One quote that has shaped me as a sales and leadership coach comes from Seneca the Younger:

“Even while we teach, we learn.”

Early in my career, I thought coaching meant having the answers.  I thought leadership meant projecting certainty.  I thought credibility came from experience alone.

But the longer I lead, in sales rooms, on stages, and even as a dad.....the more I realize:

The moment you think you’ve arrived… You stop growing.
The best sales leaders I know don’t just develop others; they let their teams develop them.

Every objection from a rep sharpens your thinking.
Every tough quarter exposes blind spots.
Every hard question forces clarity.

Coaching isn’t a one-way transfer of knowledge.  It’s a shared pursuit of growth.

If you’re in sales leadership, here’s the shift:

Happy Monday Everyone!  

With a busy few weeks of travel in front of me for work, last night was about slowing down.  My wife, daughter, and I watched The "Famous Last Words" special, highlighting the life of Eric Dane, who battled ALS, and it was just what we needed.  After 24 hours of watching it, I find myself still a bit emotional as it connected to me on so many levels.  

Mainly what I took from this show was the three values that inspire me daily, and also values that I teach to my clients:

*Being Humble.
*Being Vulnerable.
*Being Curious.

Eric Dane was all of these.
