Motivated fitness entrepreneur and Founder of Golden Army Fitness L.L.C. based in New York City. My journey in fitness took a transformative turn during the height of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. Overwhelmed by the devastation and loss, I, along with my best friend, decided to make a positive impact. Together, we created a free community jogging group, offering support and camaraderie during challenging times. This grassroots initiative fueled my commitment to wellness and led to the establishment of Golden Army Fitness in the winter of 2021.

With over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, I specialize in bootcamp total body fitness, community engagement, and personalized fitness coaching. I am dedicated to empowering individuals to become their greatest versions through an all-inclusive approach to wellness.

🌍🌞 Sunday reflection: What would change if you replaced "I have to" with "I choose to"?🌍

This isn't semantic. It's strategic.

The language we use with ourselves shapes our nervous system's response to action.

"I have to work out" activates obligation response.
"I choose to move my body" activates agency response.

Same action. Different neural pathway. Different outcome.

After years of operating from "I have to" in my own life and seeing it in hundreds of clients, here's what I've learned:

"I HAVE TO" creates:
→ Resistance (body fights the action)
→ Depletion (drains energy)
→ Shame spirals when you don't follow through
→ External pressure (proving to others)
→ Unsustainable patterns

"I CHOOSE TO" creates:
→ Alignment (body supports the action)
→ Empowerment (builds energy)
→ Self-trust when you adjust course
→ Internal agency (honoring yourself)
→ Sustainable transformation

This applies beyond fitness:

"I have to attend this meeting" vs "I choose to contribute to this project"
"I have to respond to emails" vs "I choose to honor my commitments"
"I have to network" vs "I choose to build meaningful connections"

The shift changes your experience of the work itself.

At Golden Army Fitness, we help people transition from obligation-based transformation (which creates burnout) to choice-based transformation (which creates sustainability).

Because sustainable growth doesn't come from force.
It comes from agency.
