Restor-AI-tion is a newsletter, podcast, and tool hub focused on helping professionals in the property restoration industry adopt practical, field-ready AI workflows.

In this role, I lead content development, audience education, and strategic tool deployment for contractors, vendors, and operators across water, fire, mold, and reconstruction sectors.

Our mission is to cut through the hype and deliver real wins:
	•	Custom GPTs trained on job documentation, estimating workflows, and internal comms
	•	Smart notebooks (NotebookLM) for voice-first updates, team training, and AI-powered file summaries
	•	Weekly drops that include skimmable articles, voice episodes, and hands-on tools
	•	Ongoing support for subscribers — all free for now and grandfathered in

I also collaborate with my co-founder (Dave) to ensure every drop is tailored to real job site pain points: admin relief, communication speed, documentation clarity, and internal scaling.

We focus on clarity over complexity, making AI more accessible to teams that need it most — not just tech-forward orgs.

At Engage Simply, I lead end-to-end SEO content strategy across high-impact verticals — including home services, property damage restoration, cosmetics, fintech, entertainment, and health tech.

I build search systems that align with buyer journeys, personas, and sales arcs, turning intent into action across traditional search, social platforms, YouTube, and AI ecosystems.

With Seattle being a new office, I assisted in the development of office staff and implementation of protocols that allowed Seattle to take on a high volume in a short amount of time while still maintaining the level of quality that clients expect. 

• As a Project Director, it was my responsibility to expand business with established clients as well as branch out and bring in new streams of business that aligned with Interstate’s capabilities. 
• Understanding each client’s needs and structuring each relationship with a plan based on meeting those needs was my main focus. 
• As a Project Director I served as the project’s point person both in communication and resources. It was my responsibility to manage each project's finances and to ensure that the projects were on time and on budget. 
• Reviewed daily reports from the field and made staffing, financial, and other adjustments to the project based off of this data. 
• Oversaw the progress made by Project Managers and Superintendents in the field and communicated the progress with the many interested parties on each project. Scope development, estimating, and gaining approval from clients was my focus prior to the start of every job. 
• Worked with the Mitigation and Reconstruction managers on making sure that each scope and estimate met safety, quality, and margin expectations. Change orders and supplements were generated and approval gained by myself.

• Consulted with insurance companies, organizations, mitigation contractors, as well as records management staff on the best practices to reduce risk and mitigate incidents. 
• Our specialists were able to rapidly identify the best recovery method for a particular material, based on the value of the documents and the level of damage, always recommending the most fit-for-purpose option. West Coast Region Account Manager - Document Recovery Services 

• Built and created strong relationships with clients and alliances in the Northwest and Northern California region across all Polygon service lines. 
• Worked with local Polygon Business Development Specialist to promote the Polygon brand. Construction Drying Services - Working with General Contractors to develop moisture solution planning on projects of all sizes. 
• Planning included Pre Construction cost projections, system engineering for the duration of the project, creation of Risk Management contingency planning during construction, and property 
• damage planning after the project is turned over to the owner. Industrial Climate Control - 
• Temporary humidity, cooling, and heating solutions for industrial applications such as HVAC systems replacement, temporary shutdowns, events, and food processing applications. 

Consultations which include a full analysis on the best cost and performance options for each specific project. 

Surface Preparation and Coatings - Engineered solutions for coatings work on civil, utilities, marine and aviation, from humidity and climate control only to turnkey solutions including temporary power/equipment packages. 

Property Damage Restoration - Water, Fire, and Mold damage restoration and consulting from the Risk Management stage to the individual incident/project phase. equipment only, consultation of large commercial projects, or all inclusive solutions including full project management, labor, equipment, and reporting.

Regional Account Manager

• Managed Polygon Operations in the Northwest Territory which included Wyoming, Montana, and Alaska. 
• Worked with the sales force on strategic marketing of Polygon's portfolio of services. 
• Assisted in engineering and estimating of Industrial projects as well as growing Polygon's Property Damage Restoration segment. 
• Built regional vendor alliances and overseeing quality control on projects. 
• Customer service, development of team, and promoting the Polygon Brand.

• Responsible for day to day operations for Polygon, formerly Munters in the Northwest Territory. 
• Built and maintained alliances with partner companies and vendors, managing National accounts, developing and working with uniquely structured networking groups, educational speaker on topics such as disaster preparedness, facilities risk management plans, and networking strategies.

Over the last decade, I’ve worked across restoration, construction, and marketing — helping people grow their businesses while staying true to their values.

I started Tygart Media as a boutique marketing and creative shop serving local businesses, tourism boards, and election campaigns. 

We partnered with small-town chambers of commerce, helped tell community stories, and even won New Business of the Year. I’ve done the ribbon cuttings, helped build the town Christmas maze, cooked the world’s best fried oysters at the county fair for the Chamber (they’ll back me up on that), and set up booths at local events where business and community meet. 

I know brick-and-mortar. I know small-town and county dreams. I’ve lived them — and helped build them.

That foundation led to something new: a call from a sharp, values-driven team based in downtown NYC — Engage Simply. The clients, the caliber of strategy, and the opportunity to go deep on SEO and content across health tech, restoration, fintech, and more… it was the kind of challenge I couldn’t turn down. 

Now I focus deeply on content systems, analytics, and technical strategy — a shift from doing everything to doing the right things, really well.

In parallel, I work inside Topic Intelligence™, a platform that maps how people search, think, and act — and turns that into content infrastructure. I use it daily with clients across industries. 

We’re not following trends — we’re helping build what’s next.

And then there’s Restor-AI-tion — a newsletter, podcast, and AI tool drop I co-created with Dave as a way to give back to the industry that built me. 

I started as a day laborer in restoration and worked my way up through sales, estimating, operations, and eventually project director. I’ve lived the chaos. 

Restor-AI-tion is how I stay connected — and make sure I don’t leave anyone behind.
