As a newly appointed Ambassador at Integrity Film Finance Fund, I am on an exciting journey to connect innovative investors with the vibrant world of film financing. My role in the fund's ambitious $250 million investment initiative is to uncover unique opportunities within A+++ List films in Hollywood for those seeking to diversify and enrich their investment portfolios. With a fresh perspective in finance and a burgeoning passion for the film industry, my mission is to introduce and guide investors through the captivating realm of cinematic project investments.

Responsibilities:

- Represent the vision and mission of the Integrity Film Finance Fund to a new wave of potential investors.

- Cultivate budding relationships with individuals and groups showing an interest in innovative investment opportunities.

Co-founded Venture Starters together with the serial entrepreneur Mark November.

We launched Venture Starters about three months ago with the idea that networking is the key to the success of every startup and early-stage company.

Mark November has been investing in startups for more than 45 years and while the first 25 years were investing in his own ideas, the next 20 years have been about others'.

Venture Starters is where the people who start ventures can meet every Wednesday night for a large-scale zoom meeting with up to 500 attendees.

We just got started and we are pleased that we have over 100 attendees most nights. We plan to grow the community and attendance this fall to even greater heights!

Generally, we have 25 startups do a 2-minute elevator pitch and investors ask a few questions.

The actual networking happens in the Chat section where all attendees can reach out to each other including the founders who give 2-minute elevator pitches. 

It’s working!

One of the early-stage companies who gave a 2-minute elevator pitch to raise $1M - $3M during the last two Wednesday events had 15 people reach out to him. 15! 

And the Venture Starters community is growing daily!

Our Venture Starters company page on Linkedin has over 2200 followers and we are getting between 1 or 2 new ones every hour, 24 hours a day. This means that we will probably reach 3,000 within the next 30-45 days. 5,000 is not far behind.

Projects: Vaccine for RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) in treating symptoms that pre-dispose elderly and immune-compromised individuals to poor prognosis. The resemblance of RSV presentation with COVID-19 symptoms with associated fatalities has sparked the necessity for a new RSV vaccine.

Past projects: Diabetes & Molecular Research - Type II Diabetes project with Senior Scientist affiliated with Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute of Mount Sinai Hospital.

Research project focuses on TXNIP (Thioredoxin-interacting protein), measuring changes in Mitochondrial bio-energetics of wild type Kidney cells against TXNIP-deficient cells . Using cultured cells and mouse models to investigate the molecular mechanism of insulin resistance and the toxic effects of high glucose that accompany Diabetes.

Research Associate for Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases Research (Northwestern University) at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital, Chicago, IL

Name of Study: Biomarkers of Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)

Analyzed data from IRB approved database for Eosinophilic Esophagitis

Assessed correlation between esophageal eosinophilia, blood eosinophils and IgE between active and inactive EoE. Aim was to identify non-invasive blood biomarkers that would reduce the need for repeated upper endoscopy with biopsies.

Results: There was a weak but significant correlation in Eosinophil Blood Count to Gold Standard Biopsy in Active disease. Thus, Blood Eosinophil count may be useful tool in confirming the diagnosis of Eosinophilic Esophagitis. But, a lack of correlation in Inactive disease confirms the need for invasive esophageal biopsy essential for further evaluation
