BFCM tactics can fire back!

Normally, We get customers who’re after less pricing and it can be bad and it can be good. 

Live example!

I’m seeing one of my account going down to just 3.21X in last 10 days which normally stays around 8 to 10X direct and around 5-6 Blended. 

The account keeps going down until now… 

When reviewed! 

I found out some core issues.

→ Products being advertised already out of stock
→ Products pricing raise about 2X and in some cases 6X after discounts than what is in the creatives and copies
→ Client is working on getting BFCM creatives which should have be pre-planned and uploaded since September. 


Even in normal days I get 9 to 12X with weekly $40k to $70K profit. 


This is pretty bad situation right? 

Well, Kinda of but my assessment is also…

People stopped buying and waiting on the best deals to go live on this store. 

So as I’ve faced this like for years and trends report stares my face.

Instead of panicking. 

I choose to slowly taken down the lowest performers and slow decrease in spending ie. Pulling back around 35% with intervals.


What this means…

When I push the correct offer, I’ll have more spend bandwidth to go with… 

Right now situation is looking bad temporarily but if you understand the dynamics, market behavior and what signals your data is giving, you’ve the edge.


Don’t panic - Optimize Strategically.


PS; Treat offering highest discounts as experienced driven long term growth incrementality. Lastly, You don’t have to offer discounts either just be creative. 

As long as I’m above break-even I’ll keep it going… I know I’ll make them worth more a little later
