Most teams try and solve the bottom-of-funnel gap by creating content. 
If you’re doing this, you’re working backwards.

Most marketers are starting surface level 

“Let me create this blog post” 

But it doesn’t start with the blog itself. 

It starts with the information used to create said blog. 

So think about this as a layered actions. 

Layer 1: Cross functional communication 

The trickiest thing about bottom-of-funnel content is it requires input from each team, when most teams don’t talk to each other. If possible, carve out some time to talk to one person from each team, sales, product, CS. Creating a slack channel with one person from each team can be helpful.

Layer 2: Consistent documentation 

Those internal docs that are sitting in G workspace or spread across teams? Gather those and create a centralized knowledge base of information that you use to train AI on your product, and persona(s).

Layer 3: Bottom-of-funnel content 

Once AI is trained on your company, products and persona(s), then use that information to start creating BOFU content, knowing it’s aligned because you got input from other teams and pulling from a single source of truth.

This exact problem is why BOFU.ai was created.

That gets turned into a content outline by another agent. 

A writing agent writes each section one at a time. And an editor agent improves every section the writing agent creates.

Then it gets turned into a nicely formatted Google Doc for human edits (skipped that part lol).

Then I run automations to upload and generate a featured image.

The content is far from perfect. Human edits are needed for production sites. 

This is just an example of pure AI content performing in the wild.
AI generated content works when executed correctly.

If you're new(ish) to SEO, starting your own project is by far the best thing you can do for your career.

Whether you want to start a side-hustle, or pursue a high-paying remote SEO role, having a solid project under your belt is the best resume.

Here's how to get started:

1. Pick an idea. It should be in increasing demand, have decent search volume, some competition, and something you're interested in.

2. Find a good domain. Bonus points if it has some keyword matches. It will make initial ranking easier.

3. Set up web hosting and install WordPress. There are infinite providers out there, literally pick any one of them. You can also try Webflow or Framer. (I still think WordPress is best for beginners.)

4. Start building.

Here's how to plan high converting money pages that will rank for searches and be recommended by LLMs.

The secret is to understand two key concepts:
1. The homepage is the most powerful page because it usually has the most links. The other pages that it links to receive the most link juice (PageRank).

2. You have to identify the right pages to use as money pages (The core section of your topical map). Your biggest competition on the SERPs is the best place to look. Try to identify repeatable templates (tools, services, categories, etc.)

If you make the right pages and keep them near your home page, they receive the majority of PageRank from your site structure. As your site grows in authority, these pages will rank for more and more keywords, and their rankings will improve over time.

Once your money pages are consistently ranking on the first page for their main keywords, you'll be getting high-intent, high-converting traffic.

And when people are looking for the solutions you offer on ChatGPT and other LLMs, you'll be much more likely to get recommended. Because LLMs typically only reference web pages that are ranking in the top 20-ish on organic. There's a lot of overlap between what ChatGPT recommends, and what ranks on the SERPs. Especially for commercial and transactional intent.
