I’ve closed a lot of deals in 2 and a half years. But this $100 means so much to me. 

Because it’s not just $100. 

It’s proof. 

Proof that when something is set on your heart it’s there for a reason. 

I first had this idea in 2023. 

I was too ambitious and built it too quick and it failed the first time. 

Then I pivoted, started over and it failed again. 

It didn’t even make sense to start:
- I was making good money consulting 
- This was me stepping into uncharted waters
- It took away from the main income stream 
- I had people telling me not to do it 

But almost 3 years later here we are.

And a dream. 

One of the reasons I wanted to start this was seeing the lack of black female software founders.

(I also thought I had a really good idea)

BOFU.ai is officially open and taking users. 

Below I’ve done a quick demo walkthrough that I said in the beginning would be 2 min. 

Spoiler: It’s not 2 min because even in 2026 I can’t get any video under 2 minutes apparently.

There are only two prerequisites to signing up:
1. You must be a SaaS company so BOFU can run through your product.

2. You must have some sort of account for BOFU to use (like a demo or dummy account)

A missing drink today. A $100 refund tomorrow.

A Freddy’s exec shared a $100+ order was refunded because the driver forgot the drinks.
Across the industry, 3% of operator revenue is getting tied up in third‑party delivery disputes that lead to “chargebacks.”

Sounds small.
Until you remember most restaurants live on 3% to 5% profit margins.

Restaurant Dive reported 63% of consumers have had at least one incorrect food delivery order since 2021, and 24% have requested a refund.

Now add AI.

Last week, Zomato’s CEO said people are using AI‑edited photos (flies, insects, even “smashed cakes”) to fake complaints and claim refunds.

WIRED reports the same dynamic in ecommerce, and Forter estimates AI‑doctored images used in refund claims are up more than 15% since the start of 2025.

When proof becomes editable, every marketplace has the same incentive:
refund fast, investigate slow.

This isn’t a customer support problem.
It’s a systems problem.

The U.S. online food delivery market generated $52.7B in revenue in 2024.
If 3% is trapped in disputes, that’s ~$1.5B of leakage.

In India, Prosus/NCAER estimates food delivery platforms generated ₹1.2T in gross output (2023–24).
Leakage scales faster than anyone wants to admit.
