I realised my biggest secret isn’t the AI commenting I do… it’s the ridiculous reason behind it.

PS: what was the biggest number you saw someone made in a week?

Earlier this year, when I joined Dakota Robertson’s program, I expected a lecture on hooks or structure. Instead, he asked us to write down...

the dream we rarely say out loud. 
The one that feels almost too tender to touch. 

So I wrote mine: 
a small house in Tuscany, evening light settling on the patio, my wife reading in the doorway, our kid chasing the dog between tomato plants, and me at a wooden desk that has seen more summers than I have.

It felt strange to describe it in such detail, yet the moment I did, something in me settled. 

The picture stopped being a fantasy and started behaving like a compass. 

Consistency didn’t need discipline anymore; it simply followed the direction that scene pointed me toward.

And somewhere between IVF stress, losing clients, finding new ones, and the usual chaos life throws at you, 
I realised... 
the only way any of this holds is when clarity, consistency, and flexibility work together. 

The dream sets the path, 
the daily work keeps you moving, 
and the willingness to pivot keeps the whole thing alive.

I’m not the smartest or the most gifted. 
I just know exactly where I’m going.

The no’s were never the problem.
They were the cheat code.
– why the worst replies became the data I needed?

1) The “no” that isn’t a no:
a tired brain saying “not now.”

2) The silent inbox lie:
they didn’t hate your message, they forgot it existed.

3) The real killer:
sending the same DM 200 times and calling it “consistency.”

– where the real reply-rate spike usually hides
– the trigger phrase that shifts cold strangers into warm leads

I sometimes wonder how many of us would admit we watch porn, then smile when we realise I mean the other…

The productivity stuff, the neat dashboards and colour-coded calendars we show off on a “professional” platform already full of our stories, sick days, wins, and losses.

For years I treated those systems like outfit changes for my ambition: 
- new calendar, 
- new labels, 
- new folders, 
- a fresh Notion page, 
that small hit of “now I’m ready…

Followed by the quiet realisation that nothing had moved, because I was still avoiding the one thing I had to do.

The more I watched myself, the more it felt like the same bargain people make with real porn: a quick escape, a brief illusion of control, none of the work that builds a life, a brand, clients, or craft.

So when I catch myself polishing a workflow instead of writing, 

I remember LinkedIn has its own porn habit, and that most of us thought of the other kind first; 

In that pause before we tweak again instead of facing the task we’ve been dodging all week, we’re the only ones who know which kind we’re really choosing.

Even if I’m doing sales calls in boxers…
These 7 phrases helped me close 30% of them.
I wish I could say I nailed it early but…
I blew more calls than I care to admit.

Here’s the 1 thing that finally turned it around:

#1 rule: Stop apologizing in client calls. 

Your words…
…sell you before your work does.

Have the following phrases on the side, but do not look at them all the time, cuz if you don’t listen, you will fu*k it up for sure. Learn from my mistake.

Calm down; you will lose prospects a few times, but over time, you will use these phrases at the right time automatically.

You need to sound confident and clear; that's it.

Drop the number (1-7) you’ll swap first.

Have a cool weak guys.

"We get 15 leads a week with automation."

Here's what happens:

If it's old reposts and random polls, nobody's buying.

People buy from folks who seem real. 
Not ghosts.

What actually works:

A) Solid content using GAP:
- Authority: real stories, what's working now
- Personal: your journey, beliefs, lessons
- Growth: easy tips people talk about

B) Show up daily. Post. Comment. Be present.

C) Support others. Share, reply, lift people up.

LinkedIn isn't a slot machine. 
You can't push a button and expect magic.

Automation fills calendars. Good content turns calls into clients.

If your posts aren't converting, your DMs won't either.

Only later did I realize how much that quiet foundation carried me.

It carried me when I moved countries at 19 with no English.
It carried me when I changed careers at 40.
It carried me when I started a business from nothing.
It carried me when we struggled with IVF and kept going.

Some people rise because they had to crawl.

I rose because two ordinary people built solid ground under my feet.

Building our First Real AI Agent - (And Where You Could Start)

It’s November. Targets for next year are going up.
Your marketing budget probably isn’t.

If leadership just asked you to grow pipeline by 30% without growing spend, you are not getting there with “more cold.”

You get there by squeezing every drop out of the warm audiences and first party data you already paid for.

Here is how I’d use the last 4-5 weeks of the year 👇

1️⃣ Map the warm demand you already have
Before you touch budgets, answer:

“If I had to show sales the top 50–100 warm accounts to go all‑in on this quarter… could I?”

-Open a doc and list:
-Open opps (especially mid/late that went quiet in the last 60–90 days)
-Closed‑lost for timing/budget, not bad fit
-Accounts on pricing / demo / comparison / integration pages in the last 30 days
-Trials or freemium users with strong usage
-Engaged subscribers, webinar attendees
-Companies that keep showing up across content + LinkedIn


Rough tier it:
Tier A = high fit, high intent
Tier B = high fit, medium intent
Tier C = medium fit, earlier stage

That’s your warm universe. You already paid for it.

2️⃣ Rebalance from “more cold” to “better warm”
Most ad accounts right now:

-60–80% of spend on cold
-Warm retargeting underfunded or on autopilot
-Success defined as CPL and lead volume

If you need more pipeline on a flat budget, that math does not work.

For the rest of Q4 I’d:
-Push 30–40% of paid budget into Tier A + B
-Protect branded search so competitors don’t close the deals you warmed up
-Judge cold by how many new warm accounts it creates, not just cheap leads

Cold fills tomorrow’s warm pool.
Warm protects CAC today.

3️⃣ Give warm audiences something better than a generic ad
Tier A/B don’t need another “who we are” explainer.

They need:
-Proof
-Clarity
-Help making the internal case


Think:

-Thought‑leader ads from you/your execs: “How we’d use the next 90 days if we were in your seat”
-Short videos that call out CAC / pipeline pressure and show a concrete path
-Landing pages that assume they’re evaluating, not discovering you for the first time

By January, a warm account should feel:
“Of course we’re seeing you, and of course this is relevant right now.”

The brands that win will be the ones who stop 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 for data and 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 with content that leads to connection.

How precise does your b2b marketing data get?

Lately, I've been exploring technographic data – a tool that’s reshaping how I approach marketing personalization.

Technographic data refers to information that describes a company's current technology stack, including the software, platforms, tools, and technologies they use to run their business.

This data can reveal insights into a company's operations, technological capabilities, preferences, potential needs, and challenges.

For instance, knowing a company uses WordPress not only tells us about their web platform choice, but can also indicate specific challenges they face, from security concerns to customization issues.

Rather than a generic pitch, you can address their unique situation with a solution that fits perfectly.

👉 This level of personalized outreach doesn't just get attention; it positions you as an expert.

You're already halfway through the door by demonstrating an understanding of their tools and challenges, shifting from a cold outreach to a meaningful conversation starter.

It takes 30-45 days to see ROI when you retarget your cold layer with programmatic ads.

Since you’re relying on other sources to bring quality cold traffic to your TOFU, your programmatic ads help to warm up/nurture an already warm audience that’s shown some level of intent

That’s when you’ll see a good view to conversions... but there’s one problem. 

The programmatic ads overstate the results because the placement is so good that it takes credit for a lot of conversions

For example, you might think that everyone who booked a call from the ads came from the programmatic ads

Programmatic ads have so much distribution that you can almost guarantee that it’ll be part of the journey

To accurately track programmatic ads, track the noticeable lifts (e.g. 13% lift in call bookings)

Everything else should be the same because programmatic ads make other campaigns more effective by nurturing/warming up the cold layer much faster.

Start with $2,000 per month on display ads, native programmatic, and CTV, and see people get saturated with our ads.

Just because someone sees one ad doesn’t mean that all the programmatic ads convert.
