Hi, I’m MJ Charles. My passion lies in supporting those who want to assemble their last wishes along with detailed instructions, so that their last wishes come true. This practical process is a tool in will planning, but it also becomes the best gift one can bestow upon surviving loved ones.

A bookkeeper of 20 years with experience in banking and real estate, I loved the people-side most of all. It’s fun to see people realize their wishes.  I never dreamt that I would one day call upon all my skills, even ones I didn’t know I had, to put someone else’s wishes to rest.

It happened on a 20-minute car ride. Upon arrival, I knew instantly he wasn’t sleeping. I realized he had died. “Numb” was my state of mind for that day and weeks to follow. He died without a will. One day in a fit of desperation, I yelled at the dining room table - “This is avoidable. NO ONE should have to repeat it.” I organized my papers and decided I had a book! “Surviving the Business of Dying, Why Final Papers Matter” won “Finalist” in its genre in the 2019 International Book Fest. It took 18 months for the estate to close.
