Hi, my name is Dr. Layne McDonald. I have over 20 years of film and television experience, working on fantastic projects with genuinely talented and passionate people. Coming from NPR radio in high school to working on indie films and finding myself amid giants on "Passion of the Christ," "City of Ember," "I Am David," and "Polar Express," I was quickly blessed to work on music videos in Hollywood and sit at the feet of some of the most unique talents in Hollywood history. Today, I have journeyed through those great halls of film music and even worked as a Media Director for a well-known and respected bank. Assembly Line Tools benefit from its ability to prevent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) in high-force/high-repetition jobs.  

EMG tests at NIOSH of PersonaGrip on a Lido Work Simulator showed a 54% reduction in linear force and a 43.5% reduction in torque exertions.

The science of moldable hand grip technology includes learning how to design 3D surfaces on tools that are optimized using slow-motion video analysis.

Today, my ScienceOfDriving.com program teaches the Art & Science of Driving to owners of modern hypercars.  

Originally, Tracktime Driving Schools was one of the original trackday companies in the Mid-West United States in the late 80's.  

The management team allowed me free rein to produce a driving curriculum where I was able to explain the Friction Circle "inside-out" or 180 degrees from convention.  Using hairbrushes, fuzzy dice, and balloons as teaching props, students were able to develop a feel for the car's handling very quickly and safely.

Miami Vice TV Show stunt cars were built and maintained at CR Enterprises where I engineered roll bars and other equipment to produce the desired visual effect.  

As owner, I did the same at Motorsport Engineering, Inc., in Pompano Beach, FL.  Fluctuation of the U.S. dollar caused business closures.

While pursuing my mechanical engineering degree at University of Florida, I worked at the Gainesville Dragway every weekend.  Starting out handing out time slips, they soon moved me to Head of Staging.  From there I became the Starter, and finally, the Announcer.  

Between Time Trials & Eliminations, I'd race my '69 Z/28 Camaro against my fellow worker's big-block '69 Mach 1, and I'd edge him out by less than a car length at the other end after he walked me out of the hole by 2-3 car lengths.

Besides Writing/Photography/Video Marketing, I develop task-oriented grips for Industrial Athletes on assembly lines, law enforcement, and pro drivers in IndyCar, Formula One (cars & boats), NASCAR, Unlimited Hydros, et al. 

I've designed steering wheel grips for Alonso, Fittipaldi, Villeneuve, Schumacher, Rahal, Andretti, Mansell, Luyendyk, Bodine, Jarrett, Villwock, Seebold...896+ steering wheel grips, so far.

I've trained tool crib personnel on installation/optimization of tool grips at Toyota (USA & Canada), Chrysler, Harley-Davidson, Xerox, Hewlett-Packard, Campbell Soup Company, and many other factories due to its ability to reduce injuries involving high grip force.  Videochat now provides worldwide Tech Support where grip designers can brainstorm ideas in chat rooms. 

NIOSH's EMG tests showed PersonaGrip reduced linear force by 54% and torque by 43.5%.

End effectors can also be molded to handle parts more accurately with reduced clamping force improving part-to-part cycle times.
