As a fractional CFO I use the 10+ years I spent working IN a law firm to help law firm owners gain an in-depth understanding of their firm’s financial picture. 

I am on a mission to help law firm owners become confident in their law firm finances. When firm owners have big financial goals, the first step to reaching those goals is making strategic financial decisions.

I started as a legal assistant and worked my way up through the “law firm ranks”. I know how a law firm runs day to day. When you hire me as your fCFO I bring my financial expertise and my law firm operational experience to our meetings. 

I love working with law firms because they are unique in the small business world. Revenue can be a roller coaster and expenses are unique to law firms. 

I work with law firm owners who are in all different growth phases. This includes.

I worked as a paralegal at The Christie Law Firm, LLC, with a primary focus revolving around various legal matters pertaining to DCF administrative law, Juvenile court cases, Probate court proceedings, and Family Law. Within this role, I am entrusted with a range of important responsibilities, including but not limited to performing general paralegal tasks such as managing phone calls, emails, and client communication.

My key responsibilities is drafting motions, subpoenas, and court documents, ensuring their accuracy and adherence to legal requirements. I also play a crucial role in managing the firm's schedule, coordinating appointments, and ensuring timely submission of documents and filings. In order to support the attorneys and clients effectively, I engage in thorough research within the specific practice areas, providing valuable insights and relevant information to guide case strategies.

Perception Programs

Working as part of the Alternative in the Community Center (AIC) program, I provided strategic case management services focused on treatment and re-entry for individuals referred through Connecticut's Criminal Justice System, specifically the Court Support Services Division.

In this role, I developed individualized service plans, conducted assessments, facilitated specimen collection, monitored clients, and documented their progress and compliance, with a particular focus on addressing criminogenic needs and overcoming barriers.

Additionally, I regularly submitted comprehensive monthly progress reports to the courts, bail commissioners, and probation officers, aiming to enhance compliance and reduce the likelihood of recidivism.

Case Manager - Alternative In the Community

As a Shelter Outreach Case Manager, I advocated for homeless individuals with co-occurring behavioral health concerns, connecting them to vital resources like emergency shelter, housing, mental health services, and necessities. I maintained detailed documentation of medical files, provider reports, and verification documents.

I assisted clients with government assistance applications, particularly Social Security Disability, to improve their access to financial support. Additionally, I provided reliable transportation for shelter, mental health facilities, substance abuse treatment, medical appointments, and interviews.

I advocated for clients' eligibility for supportive housing, collaborating with community agencies, partners, and organizations such as the Northeastern Coordinated Access Network and Connecticut Coalition To End Homelessness. As a dedicated Shelter Outreach Case Manager, my focus was on making a positive impact by providing holistic support, coordinating resources, and empowering homeless individuals with behavioral health concerns to regain stability in their lives. I was dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of homeless individuals facing behavioral health concerns.

In summary, Through my advocacy, resource coordination, documentation management, and collaborative efforts with community partners, I strived to provide holistic support and empower clients to regain stability in their lives.

Shelter Outreach Case Manager

As an Administrative Psychiatric Assistant, I played a crucial role in supporting the psychiatric team and ensuring optimal care for individuals with mental health and substance use concerns. Working closely with licensed professionals, I managed patient records with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations. I also efficiently scheduled appointments and facilitated communication between patients, their families, and the psychiatric team, providing necessary instructions and support throughout the treatment process. Additionally, I actively participated in community engagement and advocacy efforts to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and promote access to care. Overall, my organizational skills, effective communication, and commitment to patient well-being made a significant contribution to the success of the department.

In my role as an Administrative Psychiatric Assistant, I excelled in managing patient records and documentation. By maintaining an organized system, I ensured the accuracy and confidentiality of patient information, enabling the psychiatric team to make informed decisions and deliver personalized care. Additionally, I handled appointment scheduling and coordination efficiently, minimizing scheduling conflicts and providing patients with clear instructions and reminders. This streamlined approach enhanced the patient experience and facilitated seamless communication within the department.

Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.  Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment. Resolve customer issues, complaints and problems in a quick, efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.

Paul graduated from Three Rivers Community College in 2021, earning an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice studies. He furthered his education at Manchester Community College, where he obtained an ABA Approved Paralegal Certificate, solidifying his credentials in the legal profession. Demonstrating his passion and determination for a thriving career in law, Paul is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology, along with a minor in psychology, at Central Connecticut State University.
