As Financial Controller I was responsible for:-

Production of consolidated monthly management reports for Group including variance analysis and profit bridge
Provision of information for a number of Non Trading Cost Centres including Directorate and Finance 
Production of monthly KPI’s and commentary for Board Pack
Preparation of budgets and forecasts including cash flow for A Nelson & Co and Consolidation for Group 
Preparation of draft Corporation Tax Returns for Accountants
Preparation of draft Stat Accounts for Accountants
Management of team of 7, including payroll, Financial Accountant and ledgers
Recruitment and setting of objectives for team
Cash management
Liaison with External Auditors for year-end Audit

I left this role to move to the Isle of Man.

Life & Style Retail was the phoenix of Ethel Austin Limited, unfortunately L&S entered administration in June 2011.

Production and management of daily and forward looking cashflow forecasts
Negotiating with suppliers regarding payment plans in times of limited cashflow
Dealing with Landlords with regards to rent payments 
Preparation of Management Accounts for Directors
Preparation of budgets and forecasts for the business including cost reductions
Member of the Senior Management Team
Recruitment and day to day Management of Finance Team

Vergo Retail Ltd

I initially joined Vergo in April 2009 as the Assistant Financial Controller.  During the interview process the existing Financial Controller indicated he planned to retire during 2010.  Following his retirement I was promoted the position of Financial Controller in March 2010.

Vergo expanded rapidly in 2009 with the acquisition of 5 stores in March and then a further 12 stores in July which took the number of department and homestores it operated to 20 with a turnover of £50m.

On 7th May 2010 Vergo entered Administration and consequently it is with regret that I am seeking new employment.  My principal role includes:

Production of daily and forward looking cashflow forecasts
Negotiating with suppliers regarding payment plans
Production and review of Management Accounts
Productions of annual budgets and cashflow
Cost reductions and restructuring project
Management and recruitment of a team of 10
Implementation of store reports across newly acquired stores
National Statistic returns
Member of the senior management team, reporting directly to the Managing Director
Company Secretary
Liaising with auditors regarding year end audit and going concern review
Working with administrators to provide key information regarding the financials of the company and its operations.

Despite entering Administration my brief employment at Vergo has provided me with broad experience, both positive and negative, in acquisition, system integration following acquisition and people management during a period of recession and limited working capital.

#NewYearNewMe .... also, as per tradition, this is my 5th year in the company and I'm delighted to announce my 5th role as I fully transition to "VP of Sales". So I'm really looking forward to doing what I do best and 💯% focus on bringing on new clients and partners for Clear Junciton. At least I think thats what a VP does. So, getting ahead of the JD jokes: Greenland, I can promise you that you are safe and Venezuela, you were always outside of Risk Appetite anyway.
