Led the team that pioneered a new delivery medium that enabled autonomous, structured learning with access to virtual training environments, resulting in a new revenue stream that offered learner flexibility.

We have a month left of 2025. 

For those who are currently on the job hunt. 
Consider this your message to keep going.

I was recently on a candidate phone screen and asked the candidate to share their accomplishments with me.

They paused... Then they said. 
“I don’t know… I just did my job.”

But when we dug deeper, here’s what “just my job” really meant.

→ They led a process improvement that saved their team 190 hours a year
→ They mentored three new hires
→ They resolved an issue that had been open for 6 months
→ They were the “go-to” person for the entire department

And yet, they didn’t see any of it as valuable.

Here’s the thing:
Most people underestimate themselves.
Not because they lack ability, but because they’re used to carrying the load quietly.

If that’s you, here’s your reminder:

-You are doing more than you think.
-You bring more than you realize.
-You matter more than you give yourself credit for.
-Your value is not “just part of the job.”
-Your value is the reason the job works.

Get a journal, start documenting your wins.

My friend got rejected from a role last week.
Not fun. Not exciting. Not the news anyone hopes for.

But instead of giving up, he replied and simply said:
“Thank you for the update if there are any roles better aligned to my background in xx field, I’d love to stay connected.”

And guess what?

The recruiter actually responded.
Not with a generic template.
Not with a dead end.
Not with silence. 

She said:
“I think you’d be a better fit for another team with my company let me introduce you to their recruiter.”

Within 48 hours, he had a new interview lined up.
Within a week, he had an offer.

Same company.
Different team.
Better alignment.
Better timing.

It was the door he didn’t even know existed,  he just needed someone to point him toward it.

Here’s the lesson:
Rejection isn’t always the end.
Sometimes it’s a redirect.
Sometimes it’s a better fit waiting around the corner.
And sometimes all it takes is asking to stay in the conversation.

Alignment & timing are everything.

2025 has been a wild ride. 

Ended 2024, being laid off. 
Now, ending 2025, being laid off again.  

One of the biggest things that's saved me when I've been at my lowest?

My LinkedIn network.

Talking with people and connecting is what can make your network feel like a "gold mine." 

I've met some amazing people on this platform. 
Don't shy away from it. There are still people reaching out with opportunities. 

My open-to-work post in 2024 was how I was referred to my last role. 

I'm grateful for many things: friends, family, and all of you who follow and support me. I truly appreciate it! 

I'll continue putting out content that helps others.

Cheers to 2025 🥳 
Onward to bigger and better things in 2026.

Asking for a friend.

Why creating content on LinkedIn can help you get hired faster. 

People who create content communicate differently.
→They know how to explain their thinking.
→They know how to share ideas clearly.
→They know how to tell their story.
→They know how to speak with confidence and clarity.

I’ve seen this play out countless times. Candidates who post. 
→ Have a stronger executive presence
→ Are better at articulating impact
→ Understand their strengths
→ Show up with more confidence
→ Build trust faster

Because content isn't just about posting.
→Content is practice.
→Practice communicating.
→Practice being seen.
→Practice organizing your thoughts.
→Practice telling your story publicly.

If you’re job searching, here’s my advice:

Create a monthly content plan and start posting.
Your resume shows what you’ve done.
Your content shows who you are.
And employers hire both.

Block your calendar monthly to make time for job searching and set aside time to create a content calendar. What do you want to be known for? What are your passions or interests? 

In the last two roles I've had, I was referred.
The hiring managers knew what I was about from my LinkedIn.

It really does help keep the interview more like a conversation that way.
