I joined Breaking Point Solutions in April of 2024 with no background in broadband. Despite the steep learning curve, I adapted quickly and became the go-to person for messaging, outreach strategy, and external communications. I consult with executive leadership to strategize on the messaging about our software and services in a way that makes sense to different audiences, including local governments, nonprofit partners, and internet service providers.

I focus on turning complex tools and broadband policy into clear, straightforward language. That includes writing cold outreach for various customer types, creating content for LinkedIn, and shaping how we explain our value as the broadband landscape changes.

Along the way, I have learned to excel in navigating ambiguity by learning an ever-changing industry brand new to me and applying my communication skills to a more technical space. At No Thoughts Just Vibes, I utilize Print on Demand fulfillment services to create a seamless e-commerce experience for my customers. As the owner, I have been responsible for a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. 

Since opening the shop in July 2022, I have added over 450 listings to Etsy. In doing this, I have gained proficiency in:
-Product research and SEO research utilizing SaleSamurai, E-Rank, and Everbee
-Copywriting
-Design and image manipulation with Canva

Since opening the shop, I have sourced products from Printify and have had 400+ sales with an average conversion rate of 1.9%. I have also driven traffic of over 20,000 views and have acted as the social media manager for the shop's TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts. 

In this role, I have developed various valuable skills, including social media management, sales, marketing, design, and entrepreneurship.

To cater to clients' diverse needs, I created over 60 meals each week for corporate experiences, accommodating head counts ranging from 15 to 150 while considering unique cuisine preferences, allergens, and budgets worth over $1,000,000 collectively.

The Trust & Safety department at TikTok is always evolving. As a team lead, I managed the daily operations of two distinct specialized teams simultaneously and directed and developed thirteen direct reports. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to:
-Managing daily work distribution based on individual schedules and available forecast data
-Tracking team analytics using Excel and other internal tools
-Conducting weekly interviews for potential new hires
-Hosting weekly presentations to global stakeholders regarding niche policy gaps and moderator comprehension of key deliverables 
-Auditing agent's work for accuracy and efficiency while coaching them to success
-Developing direct reports' soft and hard skillsets during weekly 1:1s and team meetings

My individual successes include becoming an SME in TikTok's Livestream and Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity (ANSA) community guidelines, spearheading the launch and continued growth of an ANSA specific team, and transforming my team's Analytics and SOP documentation to improve agent use and comprehension.

Trust & Safety Team Lead - Content Moderation

As a 3rd shift contract Team Lead for TikTok, I directed the daily operations of the overnight livestream content moderation team. My responsibilities included:
-Ensuring the team adhered to department metrics and expectations while considering moderator mental health and wellness
-Supervising moderator training for all new policy updates to reduce application misalignments and bias
-Delivering reports and recommendations on content moderation enforcement strategy, especially as it pertained to miscommunications with the overnight team
-Confronting difficult conversations with employees not meeting performance and attendance requirements while still being respectful and understanding of their unique situations

Trust & Safety Team Lead - Content Moderation (Contract @ TikTok)

As a content moderation specialist, I mitigated risk to TikTok's livestream feature by removing content violative to the company's community guidelines. I audited approximately 750 pieces of content daily, which was often graphic in nature, while exceeding daily targeted KPIs such as accuracy, average handle time, and latency.

As a Server / Bartender at Vision Hospitality in the Gulch in Nashville, TN, I was responsible for providing exceptional service to guests at our busy restaurant and bar. I worked closely with the other members of the service team to ensure that all guests had a positive dining experience, and I took on a leadership role by training new team members and helping to develop their skills.

In this role, I had the opportunity to develop a range of valuable skills, such as providing excellent customer service, leading a customer-facing team, and working well under pressure. In this role, I also gained experience with various food and beverage products and learned how to provide knowledgeable and attentive service to our guests.

As a Breakfast Host at a busy hotel, I was responsible for providing excellent service to our guests during the most important meal of the day. In addition to standard breakfast host duties, I was also responsible for managing the breakfast kitchen's inventory and creating weekly restock purchase orders.

The COVID-19 pandemic presented a unique challenge, as serving a buffet-style breakfast became difficult. However, I worked closely with the Food and Beverage Director to develop and implement a safe and sanitary solution that still allowed us to deliver high-quality food and service to our guests. Our strategy and execution resulted in a 30% increase in customer satisfaction over the first two months of implementation.

In this role, I practiced important supervisory skills including inventory management, team leadership, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

As a Student Clinician, I conducted initial client intake interviews, summarized clients’ legal issues, and conducted legal research to provide analysis of potential strategies to tackle these issues. I utilized Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Office tools to write demand letters and contact opposing representation on behalf of clinic clients. I also had the unique opportunity to represented low-income tenants in weekly landlord/tenant court through an Eviction Diversion Program.

As assistant manager, I was primarily responsible for overseeing 10-15 staff members per shift in their individualized roles and stations throughout the restaurant and monitoring  / maintaining labor costs. I was also responsible for scheduling interviews with potential new staff, assisting in conducting said interviews, assisting with the creation of hourly staff schedules every week, and inputting inventory and food orders into the company's database and ordering system.
