LEGO Education provides complete learning solutions for schools and institutions while stimulating creativity, problem-solving, and team-working skills. 

At LEGO Education, I was heading the global public affairs department. The focus of the department is to structure and develop large-scale core growth projects globally.

The position included liaison with ministries and top officials to create new innovation, creative nationwide projects and business initiatives.

This included team leadership across many countries, systems and processes as well as leading commercial tendering strategies for the product portfolio.

At Radiometer Medical, I was heading the Global Projects department that works with public and business development projects. Radiometer Medical is an innovative medical device company owned by Danaher. Danaher is a Fortune 200, NYSE-listed, science and technology leader that designs, manufactures and markets innovative products and services to professional, medical, industrial, and commercial customers. 

I headed several complex and cross-functional corporate affairs projects. I am very experienced in optimizing business processes through UX, LEAN and Danaher Business System (DBS) DBS is the system that drives many aspects of Radiometers performance.

Director, Global Projects

At Radiometer Medical, I was Sales Manager for Africa, with primary focus on Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia. Projects were typically tender based from international development organizations/banks such as UN, World Bank, Global Fund etc.

I was primarily optimising sales through distributors. This included a large element of identifying and developing strategic partnerships with local companies as well as driving marketing activities and promoting business structures and concepts to these companies. I increased the number of sales active distributors in Africa from 6 to 17 within one year.

At the Danish consultancy company Danish Management A/S, I led the tender management of ICT projects and strategic project partnerships.  I was head of tendering for the two largest orders the company had ever won. I developed over 100 tenders and prequalification-documents for RFP/LOI.   Most partnerships were formed in emerging markets (Russia, Africa, ME, Asia and LA) as the company focus was on these areas/countries. The typical tenders included education and management.

Business Development Director

At Metrocomia (later integrated into Danish Management Group) I was stationed in Nairobi, Kenya to head the business development of ICT projects in East Africa.

As Business Development Manager, I focused on improving the organization’s market position in East Africa. I defined long-term organizational strategic goals, built key customer relationships with key African customers, identified business opportunities, negotiated and closed business deals and maintained extensive knowledge of the current market conditions.
