As an integral part of their growing team, I support Porter’s rapidly growing business environment through technology by ensuring that their customer-facing applications are defect free and exceed their customer & end-user experience.

• Analyze business requirements for customer-facing applications.
• Working directly with business users & technology teams to understand/review requirements, enhancements, & bug fixes 
• Identify, define & develop test plans for a wide variety of Porter applications, by summarizing business requirements & creating execution test suites .
• Create, & maintain test cases. Ensuring testing coverage exists for applications under test when new features or enhancements added 
• Perform manual functional, system, Integration, & Usability testing on customer-facing applications
•Making sure it meets compatibility with a variety of web browsers & mobile devices

• Reporting defects, & verifying issues have been fixed during regression testing 
• Execute automated test suites using a combination of scripts, off-the-shelf test tools and custom programming.

• Maintain & update basic internal QA applications

A class representative (CR) is a person who acts as a link between the class and the college management. In short, I have to deal with 81 opinions, gather consensus, take it to the regime, and negotiate with them for the class. At the same time, the rules or notices by the administration must be accepted by the students. Hence, the cocktail.

It all started with a bang, and a series of responsibilities came to my shoulders. From maintaining attendance to having heated case study group discussions, juggling between friends, groups, management, and personal commitments were now integral to my life. I was everybody's go-to person.

Being a CR is equivalent to being a cocktail. You are a mix of decisions and suggestions from your class and the management, which are the main ingredients of this cocktail. You need to be the perfect blend of both.

There is no doubt that the subjects I've learned so far have helped me in this journey as a CR. 

Marketing groomed my negotiation skills to get people to listen to me, which is of utmost importance. Organizational Design and Behavior helped me divide the classes into groups, structuring the group format and pooling the competencies of all students in an equitable manner. Managerial Accounting made me a better accountant; I kept a solid account of the class funds and knew where to spend how much. However, Human Resource Management taught me the essential life skill of dealing with opinionated people and finding a familiar way.

Being an autocratic leader is the easiest but the worst thing to do. Being a democratic leader is difficult, but the best way to manage. Hence being a CR is my journey of being a democratic leader, a good manager and a loved classmate.

My goal is to 'Lead the way, Protect the interests of my peers and Negotiate a win-win situation between the students and authorities.
