As I walk the halls of Drone World Expo  at Ptak Warsaw Expo, Iranian #Shahed drones are penetrating some of the most advanced air defence systems on the planet. Hundreds launched against Israel, Gulf states, US military bases. 

Could this have been foreseen? Yes, Ukraine!

At the same time, the US just used its own Shahed-class weapon in combat, LUCAS. Low-cost Unmanned Combat Attack System. Reverse-engineered from Iranian drones, now operated by the newly formed Task Force Scorpion Strike. $35,000 per unit. Compare that to $2.5M for a Tomahawk.

Mass matters. Cost is decisive. The offence is getting  cheaper, scalable, and is already here.

So I keep asking myself: where is the equally scalable defence? Ukraine knows how to deal with this kind of problem, at least with a 70-90% effectiveness. Is the rest of the world ready for such threats?  

Walking the expo floor I saw incredible #UAV platforms. Real engineering. Real ambition. Real Tech. Companies like MyDefence, FlyFocus, Spartaqs Group, Polska Izba Systemów Bezzałogowych, many more, all pushing the boundaries. Over 300 exhibitors. 

The Polish drone ecosystem is growing fast 💪

But honestly? Far fewer effective, deployable Cs-UAS solutions than I expected. 
The industry is building the threat faster than the shield.

And that is exactly what pushes me and Seraphim Defence Systems #MACS. Compact turret & autonomous fire control system. Designed with advanced #FPV threats in mind, with ambitions to counter larger systems in the future.
