When I was a kid I wanted to become a psychologist when I grow up, but I was told I'm too sensitive for that. I became a marketing professional instead. Mom said I just literally clearly wanted to work with the human mind in one way or the other it seems.

So I have worked with B2B and SaaS businesses for the better part of my career, in marketing and business development-related roles, leading key accounts, product launch marketing initiatives, teams, and business-critical projects. Acting as the glue between different functions and finding always better ways to work together are one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Here are five key points you need to hear about your marketing:

💡 Your website visitors are not acting the way you expect them to, and they never will. This is why your conversion rate is so low that you'll rather report on other metrics whenever possible.

💡 You are not alone with that, and nothing's beyond repair; it just needs a little TLC.

💡 You need to start viewing soft conversions as important as hard conversions since they'll provide you with the 1st party data and make you less reliant on the big platforms.

💡 When you're having different success metrics than sales, you need to be prepared to communicate a little extra back and forth; especially if there is no visibility from one side to the other.

💡 Meaningful experiences matter, treat all of your website visitors and newsletter subscribers like the individuals they are.
