When you respond to these messages, even when you’re not interested in them, your profile gets flagged as someone who is “likely to respond." Your profile will show up higher in searches and recruiters will be more likely to reach out to you if they see that you will respond.

Not all rounds of interviews are the same, each require their own ways of preparing.
Here’s a breakdown of what to expect in the later rounds.

First-round interviews are focused on making sure the job logistically makes sense for everyone involved.

The later round interviews are typically with the hiring manager or a team member who has a deeper understanding about the role.

So expect more thorough questions that evaluate your skillset.

This can be through skill evaluation questions, role plays, or scenario questions.

🍊 A skill evaluation could sound like:
“Can you walk me through creating a pivot table on excel and how you would analyze that data?”

🍊 A role play question could sound like:
“You’re a customer support manager and I’m an irate customer who received a defective product. Resolve my issue.”

🍊A scenario question could sound like:
“A team member leaves unexpectedly, how would you ensure the project stays on track?”

Now, each profession is different and that will determine the types of questions you’ll be asked.

I am SO BAD at learning languages (even English kicks my butt sometimes), but now in my 30s I am slowly progressing.

Here is the best question to ask at a networking event when you first meet people.

So much advice on this is cringy.

Where the opening question or "pitch" is something a person clearly got out of a self help book.

And then by default, we ask questions that aren't good. Such as:

🚫 What do you do?

As a first question, it pushes people straight into a pitch. The energy drops immediately.

Imagine having to answer that over and over, every time you met with someone new.

🚫 How can I help?

This question puts so much pressure on them to come up with an answer on the spot. Instead get to know them and what’s important to them, I guarantee you’ll discover this answer naturally.

After trial and error, I discovered my favorite networking question that shifted everything.

✅ What brought you here today?

This question helped me connect right away.

People opened up and conversations felt natural instead of forced.

I understood their goals without having to pry or assume.

Starting with this question became an easy way to identify what mattered to them and where I could add value.

Many candidates freeze when they hear the question “Why should we hire you?”

Most people tend to craft a generic response focused on describing themselves.

Don’t make the mistake of listing off your strengths.

Rather than trying to sell yourself, focus on the business and role instead.

Here’s a simple way to do that:

✅ Start by reiterating the responsibilities and biggest challenges the role has to address

✅ Explain the specific skills and relevant experience you have that specifically addresses those challenges

✅ Flip the question and ask “Is that how you see me in this role?”

This approach removes the pressure to have to sell yourself.

It shifts the conversation to solving the company’s needs, making it easy for the team to see why you are the right fit.

A resume is not a summary of your work history!

A strong resume is read like a sales page, not a Wikipedia page.

Keep the focus on what matters to the role you want.

🍊 Cut details that are not relevant
🍊 Keep the bullets that show accomplishments in line with the target role
🍊 Potentially delete or summarize early roles if not relevant or long ago

For example, if you’re applying for a Social Media Coordinator role, but only 10% of your last job was social media tasks…

ALL of your bullet points should highlight your social media tasks.

Hiring teams don’t need to know the full story of your past roles.

They need proof that you can do THIS role well.

When you tailor your resume to each job description, you make it easy to see how your experience and skills align with the role.

One mistake that could hinder your job search efforts is trying to be the “jack of all trades.”

When you present yourself as someone who can do it all from marketing, to product development, to human resources, you come across as unfocused.

Companies don’t want a generalist that can fit in anywhere (unless you're employee # 3 at a start up), they want someone who can solve one clear problem.

To avoid falling into this trap and increase your chances of landing your dream job, here’s what to do:

Pause before you apply. Think about the work you enjoy, the skills you want to grow, and the path that makes sense for you.

🍊 Talk to people in the roles you are considering

Conversations with professionals in different fields can help you see what each path is really like. It helps you make an informed decision about the direction you want to pursue.

🍊 Update your LinkedIn profile

Once you know your direction, shape your profile to match it. This can help you get sourced for jobs (the main way my clients land interviews), and also improves the likelihood you'll land interviews when your resume is compared to your profile.

🍊 Tailor your resume

Highlight only the accomplishments, skills, and experience that fits your desired role. This helps hiring teams see you as a strong match right away.

Even when I was broke I still surrounded myself with millionaires.

They studied at Oxford.

Had been on Sharktank.

Ran unicorn startups.

I was a copywriter living in a campervan. 

I spent the majority of my 20s being the least impressive person in the room.

My ego took a bit of a beating.

But it was great for my sense of belonging and drive. 

I watched these friends pitch themselves, get rejected, then pitch again the very next day.

It took me a few years, but eventually, I went and got it.

I spent years building a ‘dream career’ that barely covered my rent.

And $60k on a degree just to qualify for it.

But walking away from the safety net was still the hardest decision I’ve ever made.

Getting fired was the best thing that ever happened to me.

In 2020 I got fired from a copywriting job for a project management company.

I was dyslexic and had to Google what project management was before the interview.

So the outcome didn’t surprise me.

But I’d taken the job because it was remote and the salary gave me butterflies.

Before you think it, 

this isn’t another story of getting fired then rising from the ashes and immediately being a massive success.

It took me a whole year and taking on yet another marketing job to muster the courage to say goodbye to:

→ my £50k salary
→ holiday pay
→ and the ‘stability’ a full time position offered

On the day I got fired my ego was hurt

(and I felt like a total idiot for taking the job in the first place).

But I was also massively relieved because I knew there was more meant for me.

In January 2022 I finally started to uncover what ‘more’ meant and committed to doing whatever it took to get it.

In two weeks I had 3 consulting clients. 

2 from referral and one cold lead who’d found me through my content, all on LinkedIn.

Since then I’ve been consistently fully-booked for one-to-one and have a waiting list of women from countries around the world.

Switzerland, UK, Australia, Costa Rica, Canada, US, Spain.

Literally everywhere.

I got scammed of €6500 two weeks ago.

(It’s taken me this long to get over it enough to tell you about it)

Now I can finally laugh at myself...almost.

I was a total fool and you have full permission to tell me so. 

It happened while I have been planning our move to Portugal.

As I stayed awake late into the night searching for the perfect home for my little family. 

And I found one. 

Or so I thought.

It was almost too good to be true. 

Exactly what I had been manifesting. 

The “landlord” was lovely, he had a family too. 

He had a wife and would tell me stories about how he would take us for dinner when we arrive.

So my Dad booked flights to go meet him and view the property.

And I transferred a sickening amount of money to “lock it in”. 

He sent a contract. 

A copy of his passport. 

Proof he owned the property. 

Except, it wasn’t proof was it.

It was all fake. 

How, you may be asking, did he fool me? 

A woman who has lived in Bali (aka the Wild West when it comes to renting property) for the last 5 years?

Urgency. 

And scarcity. 

Every time he needed a payment it was layered with urgency. 

Every time we spoke he had “just got off the phone” with someone else who was interested.

Sure, he was a great con-man. 

But you know what else he was? 

A salesman. 


P.S: this experience was definitely not in the cards 🫠

Dear CEOs, how are you stopping your team using AI for literally every organic thought they used to have?

My biggest struggle with AI is not the AI itself.

It’s that it seems to have replaced the humans I hired.

How can I communicate that fixing the “time saved” by bad AI use takes longer than doing the task properly in the first place?

If nobody is seeing your posts, this is how you actually get engagement, visibility, and clients.

No matter what LinkedIn is doing.

There’s a myth that posting more = more reach.

That’s never been how LinkedIn works.

You could post every day and still stay invisible.

Because the algorithm was never built to reward volume, unlike other platforms like IG.

It was built to reward credibility, authority and trust.

And in 2026, that’s become even more true with the new algorithm.

LinkedIn was never measuring who posts the most or who is the most active. 

They still aren't.

Instead, it's measuring who’s trusted the most.

LinkedIn studies:

→ How long people stay on your post

→ Who engages (and whether they are credible in your space)

→ How much genuine conversation your content sparks

→ How many saves & sends your posts get 

→ Actions after they find you, do they go to your profile, follow you, binge your content, etc. 

That’s why a single post that builds authority can outperform ten average ones.

It's also why you’ve probably noticed old posts coming back to life weeks later, that’s LinkedIn saying, “people still care about this.”

If your content isn’t doing well go back to being as 'you' as possible. 

Write everything yourself and tell the stories you tell around a dinner table with friends. 

Be the human that connects with people irl.

Show up as the you that makes people laughs, has clear values, talks with passion about what is important to you and what you are good at. 

The person that is already known, liked, and trusted in the real world. 

Only this time... do it on the internet.

Everything I’m about to tell you in less than a minute ↓

1. If you want a personal brand that converts into clients in a years time you need to start building one now.

2. Looking for a new job? LinkedIn is your biggest asset, so leverage it and start posting about why you are the best at what you do/want to do.

3. B2B leads generated on LinkedIn are 277% more effective (aka likely to close) than any other social media platform.

4. Incase you didn't get the memo, LinkedIn got cool in 2024, just ask Steven Bartlett if you don't believe me.

4. Influencers from other platforms don't have the same power here, use LinkedIn specific influencers who know what works for your campaigns.

7. LinkedIn removed hashtags ages ago, stop using them.

8. Individual personal brands get 561% more reach than a company brand online because people connect with other-real-life-humans.

Until suddenly, the tides turn... 

And she's on the cover of Vogue. 

The reinvention everyone criticised is now iconic. 

Madonna doesn't do soft launches. 

She doesn't test the waters or ease us in gently. 

She just shows up, fully committed to the new version of herself. 

She ignores the discomfort people around her feel because she knows in the end it'll pay off.

If Madonna can reinvent herself 12 times and still be an icon.

You can build a personal brand on LinkedIn.

Embody your inner Madonna.

Go make the internet uncomfortable.

The one language everyone speaks in business is money. 

This is how to make more of it today using LinkedIn. 

Even if you don’t have 60k followers and go viral every other day.

1. Semantic content stacking

↱ Train the algorithm to recognise you as the go-to in your niche by using language in your posts that your ideal clients actually use.

2. Behavioural scoring

↱ Track who is interacting with your content and profile, then use that to build a relationship with them.

3. Acting on that behaviour 

↱ Go to your connections and message every single person who is an ICP but you haven’t started a conversations with yet.

(make sure all messages are 25% different from one another so you don’t get in trouble with the LinkedIn g*ds)

Everyone’s obsessed with playing the algorithm.

But it’s what you do behind the scenes that actually makes sales.

If your strategy ends in the DMs, it was never a strategy.

LinkedIn confirmed they're going after automated & AI … everything.

Third-party tools, browser extensions, AI images, all of it is being shutdown.

This is a huge problem for even the humans scaling their LinkedIn accounts.

Because the way that LinkedIn flag the automated behavior is the same as the behavior of you-the-human scaling your personal brand.

If you did your homework and know that it’s important to engage strategically.
aka have a list of people that include your leads, existing clients, some influencers etc.

And off you go every day to engage on this list.

You are in trouble.

Why?

Because of how the new LLM model on LinkedIn monitors you.

If you are:

→ Opening a tonne of tabs of all the LinkedIn profiles you engage with 

→ Never updating your list because you don’t know where to find new people 

→ Going down the same list one by one and not mixing it up

You will be performing in the exact same way an automation tool does engagement.

Sure, your comments will be better. More human.

Thing is, there is not some nice lady monitoring your comments, reading them and thinking “What a lovely, authentic comment” and knowing you are the real-life-human you claim to be.

Instead, it is a robot that flags the automated-looking behavior.

So before you’re comment is even read…

Your account is penalized.

Good news is, I have found a way to still do strategic engagement in a way that LinkedIn has given the green light.

It is one of the very few tools that LinkedIn actually allows (you can check this by going to your permitted services in your Data privacy settings).

Plus you can find new creators to update your list in too:

1. Go to Discover and look for the posts that have great analytics

2. Note down the Creator

3. Check out the rest of their content

How to go viral on LinkedIn in 2026

After analysing over 1 million posts, 

guess which type had the most viral posts last year?

Text and single image. 

aka the same format that has always done well on LinkedIn. 

Seriously. 

This format has outlived every single algorithm update or trend over the years.

The best thing is…

It is also the easiest to prep.

Especially if you do what I do:

Go take 30 to 50 professional shots (or ask your husband very nicely)

Then all you have to do is write copy that will actually perform well on LinkedIn. 

And relish in the fact that your content strategy takes a lot less time to deliver than your peers relying on other social platforms to scale their online business.

Being “ready” is a myth.

You start.

You suck.

You figure it out.

You get better.

Every success started as an idea followed by consistent, imperfect action.

Keep going.

I grew up being taught that money was there to be spent.

I never learnt how to save, invest, or be strategic.

I was told to live in the moment.

If YOLO was a lifestyle, my parents lived it.

As I started to earn more this became a problem. 

I got stressed out because I knew I should be doing something with the money I was making.

I just had no idea what.

I’ve spent the last few years trying to figure out what. 

Now at age 32 I have multiple sources of income, I invest and I save. 

This has been my journey so far:

1. Working on the mindset and my core beliefs around money (read all of Jen Sincero’s and Morgan Housel’s books) 

2. Saved an emergency fund

3. Started investing a tiny bit every month into low-cost index funds 

4. Bought a villa, rent it for short-term rentals 

5. Actually live in a rental house that costs substantially less than I make from the villa

6. Have an experiment allowance every quarter which I invest in something that begins with a C-and-ends-in-an-O 👀

I’m sure this may look very beginner to some.

For me, these small changes have made the biggest positive impact on my wellbeing.

Understanding what to do with my money, even at the beginner level, really did set me free.

If you aren’t getting leads

I bet you are:

either trying to sell to everyone.

Or you’ve picked a micro-niche you’ve never actually worked in.

We have all seen it:

→ The newbie mindset coach suddenly claiming to “help CEOs regulate their nervous system.” 

→ A designer teaching brand strategy before landing a single client themselves.

People can tell.

The energy is off so buyers don’t trust you. 

You can’t fake expertise.

But you can build it in public.

Instead of forcing authority or “faking it till you make it” 

Show your process.

Share what you’re learning, testing, or improving.

Let people see the progression.

Turn the journey into content.

That’s how you connect with your audience before you actually are the expert. 

And that connection is what builds trust. 

Trust is what converts.

If LinkedIn is eating your time

try this:

1. Get clear on why you are posting in the first place 

Are you trying to grow fast and be an influencer? 

Or are you trying to sign clients?

Those are two different strategies. 

One is volume and visibility. 

The other is authority and conversion.

2. Decide if brand partnerships are part of the plan

If yes, you need consistent reach and a strong niche.

Your content should signal you know what your audience wants.

3. Choose whether you want to be a thought leader 

Do you want to be invited on podcasts, land speaking gigs, etc.?

Then you need opinion content, proof, and a point of view people remember you for

(aka no vanilla content).

4. Get realistic

Look at the people doing all of that at the same time.

The people going viral, being influential, but also making hella money on LinkedIn.

Learn what they are actually doing.

Because they are not spending four hours a day inside LinkedIn.

They treat LinkedIn like the business asset it is built to be, not a social media platform they resent.

→ They have an inbound system.

→ They have expert support, (probably mine https://lnkd.in/guKUpve7)

→ They have processes for posting, engaging, and nurturing leads.

It may look effortless.

But I promise you, it’s not.

My whole life was meant to change tomorrow. 

My plane was scheduled to go from Bali to Lisbon.

Then the world collapsed. 

Or, so I thought. 

Until I opened LinkedIn and it appears as though it’s business as usual. 

Any other Monday. 

But it’s not. 

Not because my flight got cancelled, but because of what current events means for humanity. 

It felt wrong to put out a business post today. 

So this is all I’ve got. 

Sending love.

Nobody wants to admit they are working with me.

Thats the problem with running a ghost service business …

that people like to keep us a secret.

2 of the number one industry leaders on LinkedIn are accounts that we run.

One of them even overtook me… 

I lost my number one spot to an account we manage.

Great for business (not so amazing for my ego).

Referrals are rare.

Testimonials even rarer.

And our best work often can’t be publicly claimed.

That’s the trade-off of done-for-you services.

You build empires, go viral, sell out launches, outperform all the competitors.

But you do it in secret.

And the only people who need to know… know.

Our landlords started construction next door to us 

Gave us 1 day notice.

And off they went.

10 workers on our roof from dawn to dusk.

This is the dark side of living in Bali.

This post is me keeping it real for all of you dreaming of the life I appear to have.

Yes it’s beautiful.

The nature is beyond comparison.

I get to surf always.

Massages on tap.

But also, these things all happened to me in the last two months:

1. Got crashed into by a man off his mind on dr*gs

2. Said man tried to steal my bag and smash my car in with a rock 

3. Construction right next door

4. Neighbours have an aggressive pitbull who runs free that we deal with daily

All of the above would happen back home too.

But, back home you’d call the police.

Here the police don’t pick up the phone.

The grass is not always greener my friend.

So count your blessings, I’ll go first:

1. Forever grateful for my community in Bali

2. Grateful for my wonderful team, many of whom I met thanks to being here

3. Grateful for clean oceans and surfing in a swimsuit

4. Grateful that I have the resources to get a hotel when construction starts

5. Grateful that I can relocate at a drop of a hat thanks to my business 

On that last note, we are moving.

I don’t have 300k followers

But posting on LinkedIn did change my life.

I moved to Bali 4 years ago with a corporate marketing job that was burning me out, 

working nights to please a boss who had zero boundaries and longing for a better life. 

I was exhausted, stressed out, and probably not very nice to be around.

Yet, despite it all, my partner decided he still wanted to marry me.

His proposal was the push I needed to do my first post on LinkedIn.

Not as an employee.

As a personal brand.

I started charging £100 for freelance Marketing consultations.

I taught people how to use LinkedIn to get clients. 

It worked.

My offers snowballed.

I launched group courses (all on LinkedIn), they sold out every time.

I made enough money to build a 4 bedroom villa walking distance from the beach… in cash.

I married the man, we now run a LinkedIn done-for-you agency together.

We have a baby who we actually get to see grow up. 

We surf whenever it’s good.

We have a life beyond our wildest dreams.

All of this is thanks to that first LinkedIn post.
