-Leading and coordinating the Lolland Falster Folketidende(LFF) cold calling and SQL sales team consisting of 4 employees. 
-Mostly selling to consumers, but also a bit to businesses (only SQL sales B2B) 
-Responsible for key KPIs, quantity of sales, hit rate, average marks. 
-Hiring new employees for LFF -Coaching new employees on LFF cold calling and SQL team. -Developing campaign material and sales concepts 
-Coaching, improving, and motivating the employees. 

I was team leader for 8 months; the first month was a start-up month, so it's actually 7 months with managing and developing employees. I'm proud to say that we NEVER missed a single quota. In all 7 months, we never missed a single one and often exceeded the index widely. With 4 employees we made 2118 sales in those 7 months. 

May 1st, I was promoted to Team Manager. My tasks were pretty much the same as team leader, but on a much larger scale. 

My tasks as Team Manager: 
-Leading and coordinating the Jyllands posten cold calling sales team consisting of 100+ employees. 
-Hitting targets, quantity of sales, hitrate, average marks. 
-Hiring new employees for Online Telemarketing. 
-Coaching new employees on Jyllands posten canvas team. 
-Developing campaign material and sale concepts.

As head of sales, I was responsible for setting up a repeatable sales strategy. Started as the first commercial employee. In three years the role changed to managing a sales team of 10+ sales people. We grew from around 100K ARR to over 3M ARR in a bit more than three years. 

We became the 26th fastest-growing tech company in the Netherlands with 1029% growth.

After high school I didn’t want to study, I wanted to work.

My journey:

- Started in hospitality, worked my way up from washing dishes to running operations
- Met my mentor Piet-Hein Bruinsma at a trade show where I was serving coffee
- He saw something in me and made an offer: "Come work for me and I'll teach you sales"
- Spent 2 years cold calling factories across every niche imaginable
- Started booking meetings, then closing deals myself

Q3 President’s Club

This quarter, only one person reached President’s Club.

Fewer people than usual, but I’m very proud of this one.

To be honest, I expected no one to reach it.

Summer is the low season in our business, and we ask the team to take their holidays during this period.

But somehow, Jeroen Jansen managed to hit the targets we normally set for the high-season months. Jeroen always works with great dedication and puts in a lot of hours, skill, and thinking power.

Jeroen cheers, very well done! On to the next one!

I finished a new business meeting in 12 minutes.

And the prospect decided to move forward.

His response:
”If all your meetings are as efficient as ours yesterday you will have plenty of time prospecting 😂

This is exactly the point.

Most salespeople enter a meeting to discuss what needs to be discussed.

I like to keep things more efficient.

My approach:

- Prepare one or two days in advance.
- Share the agenda from my side.
- Ask for the agenda from the other party’s side.
- Prepare and research everything thoroughly before the meeting.

The result?

Short meetings where everything is covered.
No time wasted on things that can easily be handled via email.

The meeting is there to build rapport and make a decision on moving forward or not.
Not to ask questions you could have answered beforehand.

Henri Ford said: you can get a Ford in any color as long as it’s black.

And I get that. Just like Ford we have an assembly line.

Customizations throws it off.

We get asked all the time:

"Why don't you do email campaigns?"
"Can you also run LinkedIn automation?"
"What about closing deals for us?"

No.

At WINGM, we do one thing.
Cold calling for B2B SaaS & AI. In their home market or to expand to a new market.

Qualified meetings.

Could we sell more services to the same client? Sure.

Stop cheating on your ICP. 

Most companies say they focus on ICP X and offer service Y. 

But as soon as an opportunity comes up outside the ICP or a customer asks for an extra service, they jump on it. 

They cheat. 

However, staying true to your ICP and core business enables you to:

👉Become the go-to company in your niche:

All your customers can explain what you do in one sentence. 

👉Become really really good at what you do:

Not doing everything enables is to finetune every aspect of your service. 

👉Focus on what really matters:

Focus means saying ‘no’ to everything outside your ICP or expertise. 

The result: you will become the ‘go-to’ company in your market. 
This doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, focus and patience. 

Staying loyal to your ICP and core business is a superpower.

This is how we booked 14 meetings at SaaS Summit Benelux.

It's event season.
Great way to meet a lot of people, talk to customers and partners.

But also time consuming.
Better make the most of it!

I follow the same sequence for every event:.

1. Make a target list of ICP’s and partners I want to talk to, use the Brella App for input.
2. Call the target list before the event to set-up a meeting at the event.
3. Have a casual meeting at the event, plan a follow up.
4. Follow up by phone within 48 hours after the event with prospects we didn’t get to speak to book a meeting.

Here’s how you go from outbound-driven to referral-driven.

Two years ago, we were doing purely outbound.

Today the majority of our new business comes through referrals.

Our approach:

- Choose a niche
- Went all-in on outbound.
- Delivered exceptional results, so clients spread the word.

At first, it was hard work.
But something interesting started happening around client 10 or 15.

People in these markets talk to each other.

They share experiences.

When you help enough companies in the same niche, you create a ripple effect.

Now referral is our main leadsource.

Not because of our marketing, but because their peers told them about us.

‘Time in the market beats timing the market’

This investment principle also goes for outbound sales.

Most salespeople are obsessed with perfect timing:

- Waiting for the "right moment" to reach out.
- Chasing the mythical 3% who are "actively looking".
- Trying to catch prospects exactly when they're ready to buy.

This is why "Time in the Market" Works Better:

- You're there when they're NOT being pitched by everyone else.
- Trust builds through multiple touchpoints, not single moments.
- You shape their buying criteria instead of competing against it.

Just like investing, small consistent actions compound:

- That quarterly check-in email.
- The value-add article you shared.
- The congratulations on their company milestone.

Remember: just like with investing, consistent presence over time yields more results than perfect timing.
