..I'm back to being a founder again. Which is a fancy way of saying I woke up one day with an idea and willingly chose chaos 😅😂  

Can't say what just yet. But I can tell you this: It involves Unicorn founders. Billionaires. Top-tier investors and some of the most iconic people from around the world. Oh, yeah, and a problem that's been increasingly frustrating people..

So how’s the past months in beta been? Well, when your early users include some of the most successful people you know - and they keep asking: "When can I invite others?"

You know you're onto something.

I've watched VCs and first-time CEOs make this same expensive mistake over and over, when it comes to hiring for startups.

The setup: Early-stage startup. 20 people. Hiring their first Head of Product.
Two final candidates:

Candidate A:
→ 8 years at Google
 → "Senior Product Manager"
 → Impressive resume
 → Polished interview

Candidate B:
→ 3 years at unknown startup (acquired)
 → "Employee #5"
 → Scrappy resume
 → Raw but energetic

The CEO's and investor's immediate reaction: "Candidate A is obviously more qualified. Google! That's incredible."

But reality is:

Candidate A at Google:
→ Joined as employee ~2,000
→ Specialised role and responsibility
 → Managed existing product line
 → Had 3 PMs reporting to him
 → Executed roadmap set by leadership
 → Clear processes, established playbook
Never built anything from zero.

Candidate B at startup:
→ Employee #5 
 → Built product from scratch
 → No playbook, figured it out
 → Used to extreme ambiguity & chaos
 → Wore PM, designer, and analyst hats
 → Startup acquired for $50M
Built everything from nothing.

Employee #5 and Employee #2,000 are completely different people - with totally different skillsets.

After investing in +50 tech startups, working with multiple unicorn founders and top investors around the world, I kept hearing the same thing: "Can Europe compete with Silicon Valley?" 🤔 

But it’s the wrong question to ask.

The right question is: "What does Europe need to compete?"

The answer is: Infrastructure for better connectivity and collaboration.

How do you spot a unicorn founder before they build a billion dollar business? Look for hypomania 👀 

I just finished the book: 'The Hypomanic Edge - The link between a little craziness and a lot of success in America.' And it was truly eye-opening.

Top 1% of founders, investors and high performers:
→ Need few hours sleep, wake up energized
 → Brain never stops racing with thoughts
 → Actually believe they can do the impossible
 → Take risks others call insane
 → Work at an exhausting pace

Turns out, there's a clinical term for this: Hypomania. It’s not just a relentless drive. It's a mild manic state.

We try to define it as:
"Founder mode"
"ADHD"
"10x mindset"
"Visionary"
"Outlier"

But these people aren't just driven. They're wired differently at a clinical level.

If someone manages to channel it productively = billion-dollar companies.
Unchecked = burnout and chaos.

Most founders, investors and top performers don't know what it is.
They just know they're wired differently.

It's not a bug. It's the feature. 🦄

Some of the best business gets done outside the boardroom. It's built over conversations where people actually show up as themselves.

My LinkedIn content has reached +6 million people this past year. I'm from Denmark. Population: 6 million people, so I've actually reached more people on this platform than exist in my entire country. That’s a bit wild 😅 

I don’t even feel it. That’s the weird part. 

If I’m speaking in front of an audience of 1,000 people I still get nervous. But here, on Linkedin, it’s 6 million people and it's just an everyday thing for me that I'm totally comfortable with. Strange..

I think it’s because I’ve found my tribe here.

🏛️ “Varan… hvorfor vælger du egentlig at arbejde for en så ældgammel biks som Bording Group ?”

Det spørgsmål får jeg ofte.

Og svaret er faktisk ret enkelt:
👉 Fordi Bording er Danmarks 5. ældste fungerende virksomhed. Ældre end Chr. Hansen , Novo Nordisk  og Carlsberg Group .

Det kræver noget helt særligt at overleve så mange teknologiske epoker –
og stadig stå stærkt i dag.

Det kaldes resiliens.

Og det kalder på mod, nysgerrighed og evnen til at genopfinde sig selv 👏🏽

At få æren af at stå i spidsen for innovation, teknologi og fremtidens udvikling i en virksomhed med +225 års historie…det er ikke bare et job.

Det er et privilegium.

Og en opgave, jeg tager på mig med både ydmyghed og ambition.

For hvis vi skal være her de næste 100 år, så kræver det tre ting:

🪓 1. Modet til at save vores egen gren over –
mens vi allerede har fundet den næste, stærkere gren at hoppe til 🪾

🔥 2. Klarsynet til at træffe de langsigtede beslutninger –
og ikke bare “pisse i bukserne” for at holde AI-varmen i momentet 🙃

👥 3. Et generationsskifte i tide –
før de unge bliver utålmodige og smutter, og vi sidder tilbage som det grå guld med gode intentioner og gamle værktøjer 👴🏽👵🏻

Tre intense dage…

🔹 Fuld af indtryk ⚡️

🔹 Innovation på øverste hylde 💡

Det hele er nu blevet kørt igennem hjernen 🧠 – og nu begynder det egentlige arbejde:

At tage alt den viden med hjem, reflektere, og omsætte det til reel innovation i Bording Group  🔄💡

For det vigtigste ved sådan en konference er ikke at blive inspireret selv… Det er at dele det, så andre også får glæde af læringen –
og sammen kan vi begynde at se ind i løsninger, der kan gøre vores arbejdsliv (og liv generelt) bedre 🌍✨

🔥 Årets klare læring:

Teknologien er meget længere fremme, end vi tror. Og det er både fascinerende – og ærligt talt en smule skræmmende 🧐

💥 “Alle taler om AI-agenter… men de færreste er klar til niveau 1.”

Det blev ekstra tydeligt for mig, da jeg satte mig ned og samlede vores AI-strategi i fire konkrete modenhedsniveauer hos Bording Group 
 
For hvis vi som organisation virkelig vil arbejde med AI — ikke bare snakke om det — så skal vi forstå rejsen, før vi forventer resultater.

📊 Fire niveauer. Én fælles retning:

0️⃣ Grundforståelse – personligt brug, ingen procesintegration
1️⃣ AI-chatbots & LLM’er – vidensdeling og informationsmotor
2️⃣ AI-workflows – automatisering, dataudtræk, procesoptimering
3️⃣ AI-agenter – autonome roller med 4EYE-godkendelse

Det er først, når vi behersker niveau 1 og 2,
at niveau 3 – de rigtige AI-agenter – giver mening hvor tools som Needle , n8n eller MakeAI kan bruges 

Man kan ikke bygge autonome systemer i en hvilken som helst organisation, der endnu ikke bruger AI i sin hverdag.

⚔️ “AI Agents are coming…” ⚔️

‼️ Men lad os lige være ærlige ‼️

Vi er ikke klar til at ride ind i kampen endnu.

For det er utopi at tro, at vi bare kan “implementere AI-agenter” i en organisation, hvis kulturen stadig kun smager lidt på AI-chatbots i ny og næ.

AI-modenhed handler ikke om værktøjer. 
- Det handler om adfærd, nysgerrighed og vaner.

Vi kan ikke bygge AI-agenter 🤖, hvis vi stadig ikke spørger GPT, hvad der står i personalehåndbogen 📖  – og i stedet spammer 💌 People & Culture med mails,
der kunne være løst med ét simpelt prompt 😂

- Vi skal kunne kravle, før vi kan gå.
- Vi skal lære at bruge AI til hverdag, før vi kan automatisere processer og designe agenter, der arbejder med os – ikke for os.

💡 AI-parathed starter ikke med teknologi.
Den starter med kultur, tillid og en hverdag, hvor AI bliver en naturlig refleks.

Først når vi mestrer “frikadelle-vin niveauet” 🍽️ – kan vi begynde at tale om “Pingus-højderne” 🍷  …og drømme om AI-agenter, der reelt skaber værdi på tværs af forretningen.  
- Nå ja, vi kan da også bare sige vi når "Barolo-niveauet 🍷", med at implementere AI-workflows i vores hverdag. 

Så ja – AI Agents are coming.

Men lad os starte med at blive AI humans first. 🤖❤️
