How do you divide equity within the team?
This is one of the most challenging decisions founders face.
Early on in their journey.

And it’s not just about the numbers, it’s about fairness, commitment, and success.

Don't see this as a negotiation.
About how you can maximize your share.
And give the least amount possible to others.

A co-founder can eventually walk away if they feel undervalued.

Here's how to do it instead:

👉 Evaluate contributions, workloads, risk and experience
👉 Go for a dynamic split that values individual commitment
👉 Protects everyone by ensuring equity is earned over time

MCPs can’t reliably work for Ads APIs. And Google just proved it.

Google released a new Google Ads API Developer Assistant...a Gemini CLI extension.

In short, it’s another way to interact with Google Ads using natural language…
just like the Google Ads MCP.

So… why not just use the MCP?

If you’ve ever tried the Google Ads MCP, you already know: it doesn’t work well.

Nothing against how Google engineered it.. the issue is MCPs as a concept.

MCPs work fine for simple APIs. Calendar. Booking. Basic CRUD stuff.

But a complex API like Google Ads? No way.

Why? 

Because MCPs lack the one thing advanced APIs depend on: Context.

• They bloat the context window during load or output.
• They don’t understand schema deeply. They hallucinate field names.
• They are very static and  provide zero opinionated defaults or guardrails

The Gemini extension takes a completely different approach.

Extensions are basically a folder of real files, examples, and scripts that the agent can explore and execute. Very similar to Claude Skills.

So for the Google Ads Developer Assistant, Google gave the agent:
• Real script examples
• The full Google Ads API Python repo
• File-system access

We’re entering an era where one person or a very small team can run what looks like a big org.

The recent GPT-5.2 release is a good example.

The long, strict, babysitting instructions we used before?

With newer models, overly rigid prompts actually hurt performance:

So instead, we’ve been moving toward dynamic context.

Give the model:
• Clear goals and boundaries
• Access to the right context at the right time
• Proper tools and infrastructure

And then… get out of the way.

Prompt engineering as a “secret skill” is becoming less relevant every day.
We don’t need clever tricks or magic phrasing anymore.

It’s simpler now:
Define the rules.
Provide real context.
Build good tooling.

That’s it.

Which makes it funny to see people on LinkedIn still selling prompts as some kind of breakthrough.

We’re not in 2023 anymore.

You can’t have a real AI agent without humans in the loop.

Everyone talks about “fully autonomous agents”…
But without human checkpoints, you’re basically giving a toddler a chainsaw.

AI agents don’t need poetry. They need clear instructions and clear approvals.

Here are the patterns that actually matter:

• Single-step approvals: The agent must ask before it does something risky.
• Field confirmations: “Here’s the budget, here’s the targeting, here’s what I’m about to change.”
• High-risk gates: Anything involving spend, data deletion, or irreversible actions should always stop for review.
• Bulk approvals: When the agent needs to take multiple steps, humans should approve the plan, not 27 individual pop-ups.

That’s how you avoid rogue edits, overspend, and “why did it do that?” moments.
Human-in-the-loop doesn’t slow things down. It’s how you scale safely.

Real autonomy needs real oversight. This is that bridge.

I’ve built 200+ operations across almost every ads platform out there.

And the more I built, the clearer something became:

AI cannot work directly with Ads APIs.

Not because AI isn’t smart enough... but because the documentation is broken.

AI needs a context layer in between. And that context is supposed to come from the docs. But it doesn’t.

Google Ads has relatively the best docs, but even there, the complexity is wild. You often don’t know:
• which resource supports which feature
• which resource to use for PMax
• assets alone have 20+ different resource types

Good luck figuring that out from the docs.

Meta, Snapchat, TikTok?

Much worse. They literally have typos in many resource names.
You end up reverse-engineering half the platform just to perform basic actions.

The solution:

You must build your own context layer on top of these APIs. Basically, your own version of the docs.

Otherwise, AI will constantly hit roadblocks on edge cases.

Yes, basic stuff works. But try launching a real Meta campaign with placement customization or creative enhancement adjustments.

AI will fail miserably. Just try it.
