I spent €700 a night on a hotel in Hong Kong.

Here's why it was the best money I spent.

Most people would call that insane. A waste. An ego move. But it wasn’t.

I didn’t book it to show off.
I booked it to remind myself how far I’ve come.

Because not long ago, I worked weekends for €9/hour. I saved every cent. I shared a small flat with strangers.

And I dreamed of freedom.

Those €700 nights were a celebration of progress.

Proof that the kid from Germany who once couldn’t afford a vacation...now chooses where to wake up.

Here’s the truth:

You don’t need to justify what you’ve earned.
You need to experience it, so it means something.

Because when you reach a point where you can pay for comfort and luxury, you realize it’s not about the hotel.

It’s about who you had to become to afford it.

That’s why I do it. Not for flexing but for remembering.


P.S. What makes you realize how far you’ve come?

I’m the same person in every room.

In client calls just like with friends.

Being “too direct” into my biggest flex. People told me to tone it down. To sound more polished. More corporate. More like everyone else.

But that’s not me. I’ve always been direct. 

And guess what? That’s exactly what built my business.

Because business is a people game. You don’t just need to be a marketer. You need to understand people.

Here’s what I learned:

1. People buy energy, not perfection.
2. People recommend trust, not nerds.
3. People follow truth, not compliments.

I don’t play the "yes man". I face uncomfortable situations. I say out loud what others only think.

It’s not always comfortable. I don’t sugarcoat things to make others feel better, and I definitely don’t say something nice just to win a deal.

If something’s off, I call it out.

That’s exactly why my clients stay for years.

Because they know I’ll always tell them the truth.


P.S. Would you still be trusted if you stopped faking it?

I scale faster by rejecting most clients.

Most agencies accept everyone.

That's why they stay broke. I do the opposite.
Because not every deal deserves your energy.

Not every logo improves your case studies.
Not every retainer is worth the headache.

When I qualify, I'm brutally selective. We only onboard clients I believe in.
Clear offer, clear numbers, clear commitment upfront.

Any of that wobbles? Say NO, when...

...expectations already feel off.
...communication is unreliable early.
...respect isn't immediately mutual.
...results depend on luck.

Here's what happens when you filter:

1. Higher margins without constant fire-fighting.
2. Longer partnerships built on trust, clarity, respect.
3. Stronger positioning as the partner, not vendor.
4. Zero fear of losing one toxic retainer.

Selective partnerships turned my agency into leverage.

Fewer clients, deeper work, better lifetime value.

That's the cheat code nobody wants to mention.


P.S. Are you brave enough to filter out?

We got sold the biggest life scam.

The idea of security keeps most people broke.

At 16 I worked at a smoothie bar in Germany.

Everyone clapped because it seemed responsible and safe. Study hard, get a stable job, retire someday. That script looks safe from the outside.

Inside, it is a beautifully packaged cage.

Capped salary. Taxed to death. Rent draining half your monthly income. Two rushed vacations to forget your weekdays. No real ownership, no asymmetric upside.

The system needs you calm, predictable, replaceable. So it calls dependency security and freedom risky.

I stopped believing that story very early.

Instead, I built skills nobody could ignore. I impress my clients, not my bosses.

Security is not contracts or corporate logos.
Security is control over income and decisions.

Here is what actual security looks like:

– You decide who you work with.
– You can earn more without begging anyone.
– You can leave, move, pivot without collapsing.
– You own assets that pay you repeatedly.

The system lie only works if you comply.

The exit door is boring, hard, obvious.

But it is open for anyone consistent enough.


P.S. What does security mean to you?

Money doesn’t buy happiness, trust me.

But it buys better decisions.

Back when I earned 9€ an hour when I was a broke student, every choice I made was a trade-off.

Dinner out or new shoes.
A short trip or saving for rent.
Every euro was a this-or-that choice.

Fast forward a few years...

I run my own 8-figure companies, live between continents, and build systems that work when I sleep.

And I finally understand what money really is.

It's a multiplier of choice.

Let me explain.

1. Leverage money to buy labor

When I started delegating, my time expanded. I take opportunities, and focus on high-impact decisions.

2. Money improves decision quality

When you have capital, you stop choosing the cheapest option and start choosing the right one.

Better hires, better mentors, better systems.

Security is an illusion

I once thought a stable job meant safety. Now I know that true security is owning your time, skills, and freedom, not relying on someone else’s paycheck.

All of them succeeded, but none of them used the exact same ad setup.

Because success depends on...

• The margins
• The client’s business model
• How you leverage existing data
• When to accelerate and when to hold back

Most agencies never get this right.

They apply cookie-cutter strategies across all clients without understanding the fundamental differences between push and pull marketing.

And they call it a "strategy".

PMAX vs Search. YouTube vs Meta.

Everyone had “data” to back their perspective.

But here’s the thing: Both arguments were right. Just looking from different angles.

And that’s where most teams get stuck:

Not because they’re wrong.
But because they can’t move on.
They overanalyze. Overthink. Delay.

That’s analysis paralysis:

Everyone argues their data point. Nobody decides.
Thinking "What if we pick the wrong bid strategy?"

Competitors scale while you’re still thinking.
The truth? Speed wins. Every time.

Was everything perfect? No.
