From writing my first game on my home computer as a young boy, to leadership in the gaming industry as an adult.

After joining Electronic Arts I focused on building effective teams and integrating creative gaming passion, doing more with less, and engineering principles for problem solving. My journey continued with Xbox at Microsoft, where I contributed to iconic games such as Fable, Forza and Minecraft. 

At Xbox, I evolved into a specialist in modern game development & test. The world of gaming engines beckoned next, leading me to Unity Technologies. My role there expanded beyond gaming content, delving into technical aspects of Unity's game engine and then merging both engine and content where I created and led an internal game studio making games for Unity customers.

Outside of my work, I'm a husband and father, and love time with my family. Through my website, marcuspurvis.com, and here on LinkedIn, I create content that emphasizes effective living and making a positive impact, both in and out of work.

Als freiberuflicher Creative- und Art Director habe ich über 10 Jahre mit den besten Agenturen und Kreativen in Deutschland weltweit zusammengearbeitet. 
Gemeinsam konnten wir zahlreiche international anerkannte und ausgezeichnete Kampagnen entwickeln und überall auf der Welt produzieren.

Nebenberuflich war ich als Fotograf für Plattenfirmen und Musikmagazine aktiv und habe unter anderem Künstler:innen wie Billie Eilish, Panic! at the Disco, Iggy Pop oder Patty Smith fotografiert.

Als Art Director für Mercedes-Benz, Bitburger, Ricola, Sixt und Bild (werde ich nie wieder für arbeiten) habe ich gemeinsam mit meinem Textpartner und unseren Creative Teams diverse Kampagnen entwickelt und umgesetzt, Foto- und Filmproduktionen begleitet.

Highlights:
•	Markteinführung des Mercedes-Benz E-Coupé und anderer Modelle.
•	Konzeption und Umsetzung von TV-Spots und Anzeigen für die 
	Bitburger-Kampagne „Alles für diesen Moment.“
•	Einführung der Ricola-Kaugummi-Kampagne in der Schweiz.
•	Umsetzung und Gestaltung der „Meinungsführer“ Kampagne mit TV-Spots, 
	Plakaten, Anzeigen und Online-Werbung, die für ihre Kreativität und 
	Effektivität ausgezeichnet wurde.

Als Junior Art Director bei Scholz & Friends konnte ich meine ersten Kampagnen umsetzen und sogar einige große Auszeichnungen gewinnen, wobei zwei Cannes-Löwen für unsere Siemens Kampagne sicherlich das Highlight war. Für Kunden wie AOL, Chio Chips, FTD, Siemens Home Appliances, die Krebsgesellschaft NRW und Honda konnte ich zudem das Handwerk meines neuen Berufs aus allen Perspektiven kennenlernen.

Highlights:
•	Imagekampagne für AOL Deutschland 2005/2006, einschließlich Print, TV, Online.
•	Cannes Löwen, Grand Prixs und mehr für unsere „Putzfrauen“-Kampagne für Siemens.
•	Pitchgewinn für den Honda Civic, einschl. Anzeigen, TV-Spots und Online-Werbung.

Philipp und Keuntje GmbH

In meinem Praktikum bei Team Audi, Tetra Pak und Gelbe Seiten habe ich hauptsächlich dem Team zugearbeitet, konnte aber auch eigenständig Projekte umsetzen. 

Dazu gehörte die Entwicklung und Umsetzung eines echten Jump-&-Run-Spiels namens ‚Antivitamino‘ für Tetra Pak sowie die Idee und Umsetzung einer Recruitingkampagne für Philipp und Keuntje.
